Virpi Lehtinen welcomes us into her fairytale world, a mix of fantasy and dreams

Today I’m delighted to introduce you to Finnish artist Virpi Lehtinen, who lives in Vantaa, although her father’s roots are in Northern Lapland, in the village of Nellim, and therefore Inari Sami blood flows through her veins.
For me, having been to Lapland many times, it wasn’t difficult to understand that the mysticism and atmosphere that permeate her paintings are a sign of her deep Sami heritage.
Speaking to Virpi herself, she told me that when she closes her eyes, her imagination leads her to paint landscapes inspired by fairy tales, song lyrics, and memories of her childhood trips to Lapland.
The first impression I had when I looked out over the breathtaking panoramas of Lapland on my first trip above the Arctic Circle was that of feeling transported to another dimension of peace and tranquility, and it’s exactly the same feeling I found when looking at Virpi’s paintings, especially when they invite you for a walk in the forest. It truly feels like entering a fairytale world where you can encounter anything, from a fox waiting to play hide-and-seek or a squirrel challenging you to find the first acorn along the path you’re walking, not to mention the mosses exuding fantastic colors.
Virpi’s story as an artist is very unique because she came to painting not as a young woman but only recently after being attacked in 2020 by a very rare form of idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH). This forced her to leave the job she had been doing with passion and great success for almost 30 years in the restaurant industry, where as a restaurant manager she welcomed everyone from ministers to nursery school children in what may at first glance seem like just a simple job but in reality is also a true art of hospitality.
In 2020, she noticed that her vision was no longer clear, and after extensive medical tests, she was diagnosed with this condition, sometimes also called a pseudo brain tumor.
A subtle disease that causes headaches, vision loss, tinnitus, dizziness, depression, and nausea.
For the first two years, Virpi sank into a state of depression and confusion, until she received painting materials as a Christmas gift, and from that moment, her artistic journey began.
Having taken a period of sick leave from which she is still recovering, Virpi, with the help of a YouTube tutorial and with great passion, began to create her works, fruit of her imagination, very colorful and full of emotion, works that are meant to convey to those who see them for the first time.
She currently paints with only one eye, because her eyes are so different and unique that she can’t wear glasses. One eye only sees close up (5-15 centimeters), while the other only sees at a distance of 2-3 meters, but neither can see at intermediate distances. For this reason, she often paints with the canvas on her lap.
Today, for Virpi, painting is above all about survival, and this passion was born during a time when she lost a lot, but at the same time discovered something completely new within herself.
2025 was a turning point for Virpi, who began sharing her art on social media and subsequently received invitations from several art galleries to present her works to the public.
Her first exhibition was held in March 2025 at the Museum of Technology, and there have been many others since.
Today, her paintings hang in nearly 30 homes across Finland, and one even in Singapore.
Virpi can barely believe how art has helped her survive and rediscover the joy of living a colorful life!
All her paintings are painted and finished at the edges, ready to be hung and varnished.
She is a member of the Helsinki Art Association.

Virpi Lehtinen ci accoglie nel suo mondo di fiaba tra un mix di fantasia e sogni

Con grande piacere oggi vi presento l’artista finlandese Virpi Lehtinen che vive a Vantaa anche se le sue radici da parte di padre affondano nella Lapponia settentrionale nel villaggio di Nellim  e nelle sue vene scorre quindi sangue Sami Inari.
Per me che sono stato molte volte in Lapponia non è stato difficile comprendere  che il misticismo e l’atmosfera che permeano i suoi dipinti siano il segno che le deriva dal profondo della sua eredità Sami.
Parlando con Virpi lei stessa mi ha detto che quando chiude gli occhi la sua immaginazione la porta a dipingere paesaggi ispirati a fiabe, testi di canzoni e ricordi dei suoi viaggi d’infanzia in Lapponia.
La prima impressione che ho avuto quando mi sono affacciato nel mio primo viaggio sopra il Circolo Polare Artico sui panorami mozzafiato della Lapponia è stata quella di sentirmi trasportato in un’altra dimensione fatta di pace e tranquillità ed è proprio la stessa sensazione che ho ritrovato nel guardare i dipinti di Virpi soprattutto quando ti invitano a fare un giro nella foresta dove veramente sembra di entrare in un mondo di fiabe dove si può incontrare di tutto, da una volpe che ti aspetta per giocare a nascondino o uno scoiattolo che ti sfida a chi trova la prima ghianda lungo il sentiero che stai percorrendo, per non parlare dei muschi che trasudano colori fantastici.
La storia di Virpi come artista è molto particolare perché è arrivata alla pittura non da giovane ma solo recentemente  dopo essere  stata aggredita nel 2020 da una rarissima forma di ipertensione intracranica idiopatica (IIH) che l’ha costretta a lasciare il lavoro che svolgeva con passione e grande successo da quasi 30 anni nell’ambito della ristorazione dove come responsabile di ristorante ha accolto tutti, dai ministri ai bambini dell’asilo nido in quello che può sembrare a prima vista solo un lavoro semplice ma in realtà è anche questa una vera e propria arte dell’accoglienza.
Nel 2020 ha notato che la sua vista non era più nitida e a seguito di approfonditi accertamenti clinici è arrivata la diagnosi di questa patologia che talvolta viene anche chiamata pseudo tumore cerebrale.
Una malattia subdola che causa mal di testa, perdita della vista, acufeni,vertigini,depressione e nausea.
Virpi è sprofondata per i primi due anni in uno stato di depressione e confusione, fino a quando non ha ricevuto in regalo per Natale del materiale per dipingere e da quel momento è partito l’inizio del suo percorso artistico.
Avendo preso un periodo di congedo per malattia che la vede ancora oggi convalescente Virpi con l’aiuto di un tutorial su YouTube e con tanta passione ha iniziato a creare le sue opere frutto della sua immaginazione, opere molto colorate e piene di emozioni da trasmettere a chi le vedrà per la prima volta.
Attualmente dipinge con un solo occhio, perché i suoi occhi sono così diversi e particolari che non riesce a indossare gli occhiali, perché un occhio vede solo da vicino (5-15 centimetri) mentre l’altro solo a una distanza di 2-3 metri, ma nessuno dei due vede a distanze intermedie, e per questo motivo molto spesso dipinge tenendo la tela in grembo.
Oggi per Virpi dipingere significa soprattutto sopravvivenza, e questa passione è nata in un periodo in cui ha perso molto, ma allo stesso tempo ha scoperto qualcosa di completamente nuovo dentro di se.
Il 2025 è stato un anno di svolta per Virpi che ha iniziato a condividere la sua arte sui social media ricevendo di conseguenza  inviti da alcune gallerie d’arte per presentare al pubblico le sue opere.
La sua prima mostra si è tenuta nel marzo 2025 al Museo della Tecnologia e da allora ce ne sono state molte altre.
Oggi i suoi quadri sono appesi in quasi 30 case in tutta la Finlandia, e uno persino a Singapore.
Virpi sembra quasi non credere a come l’arte l’abbia aiutata a sopravvivere e a riscoprire la gioia di vivere una vita a colori!
Tutti i suoi quadri sono dipinti e rifiniti nei bordi, pronti per essere appesi e verniciati.

Meria Q aka Merja Sipiläinen-Kuhlberg, a mysterious artist who believes in miracles created by the free flow of the mind

Today I have the pleasure of introducing Finnish artist Merja Sipiläinen-Kuhlberg, who was born in Artjärvi (Lake of Art in english) but lives in Turku, a beautiful city on the west coast of Finland.
Meria Q became interested in art as a young girl, sketching evening dresses in her notebooks, and she cultivated this interest as a teenager by designing fabric prints.
As often happens, life sometimes takes strange turns, and Meria Q, abandoning her passion for art, took a different direction that led her into the world of marketing and business.
However, in early 2010, her artistic creativity reawakened and has been unstoppable ever since.
She learned acrylic painting during an astronomical painting course, and thanks to the guidance of excellent professional teachers, she acquired skills in mixed media and watercolor painting.
Once her artistic streak was rekindled, she began painting and drawing as much as possible.
She held her first solo exhibition in 2018, followed by numerous others.
She is currently exhibiting her work at the exhibition “Art. Peace and Meditation” at the Ecumenical Art Chapel of St. Henry in Turku, until November 30th.
In her stage name, Meria means happiness and sun, while Q stands for the moon, an important guide to other worlds and feelings.Initially, she signed her works with the MSK symbol, but gradually a new logo emerged, in which many people have seen an angel or a butterfly, both elements are luminous and beautifully reflect the energies that move Meria Q’s mind in her creative state.
If we were to define this artist, she could be considered an intuitive painter of mental images, a true communicator of art.
Meria Q visualizes the subconscious, and by doing so, she manages to transfer images into her works that we cannot see with our physical eyes, thus becoming a sort of interpreter of the invisible that dwells within us, both in the present and the past.
The messages, emotions, and stories Meria Q conveys in her paintings manage to convey a sense of peace and tranquility to the viewer, almost to the point of becoming healing.
The viewer’s eyes magically find themselves in a place where the mind can rest.
Art, upon closer inspection, is the primary place where meditation dwells, and Meria Q’s works are a true invitation to meditate, allowing one to fully understand the messages they emanate.
Almost like a flow of wonders, a work becomes predestined for someone who can fully grasp the artist’s message.
Meria Q has received a description of herself from the world of astrology: “A mysterious artist who believes in miracles.” Looking closely at her works, it’s not hard to see her in this description.
By letting go of the free flow and letting things happen, miracles are created, and a new world opens up before us with all its colors, moods, and details.
This, no doubt, is the art of Meria Q!

Meria Q alias Merja Sipiläinen-Kuhlberg un’artista misteriosa che crede nei miracoli creati dal libero flusso della mente

Oggi ho il piacere di presentarvi l’artista finlandese Merja Sipiläinen-Kuhlberg che è  nata ad  Artjärvi ( lago d’arte in italiano ), ma  vive a Turku una splendida città sulla costa occidentale della Finlandia.
Meria Q si è avvicinata all’arte già da ragazzina quando disegnava abiti da sera nei suoi quaderni e ha coltivato questo interesse da adolescente disegnando stampe su tessuto.
Come spesso succede la vita a volte fa dei giri strani e Meria Q  tralasciata la passione per l’arte ha preso un’altra direzione che l’ha proiettata nel mondo del marketing e degli affari, ma agli inizi del 2010 la sua creatività artistica si è risvegliata e da allora è diventata inarrestabile.
Ha imparato la pittura acrilica durante un corso di pittura astronomica e grazie alla guida di bravissimi insegnanti professionisti ha acquisito un ottima preparazione nella tecnica mista e nella pittura ad acquerello e una volta che la vena artistica si è rimessa in moto,  ha iniziato a dipingere e disegnare il più possibile.
Ha tenuto la sua prima mostra personale nel 2018 a cui ne sono seguite numerose altre e proprio in questi giorni è presente  fino al 30 novembre con la mostra “ Arte. Pace e meditazione “ presso la Cappella d’arte ecumenica di Sant’Enrico a Turku.
Nel suo nome d’arte Meria  significa felicità e sole mentre Q è la luna che è un’importante guida verso altri mondi e sentimenti.
Agli inizi firmava le sue opere con il simbolo MSK, ma a poco a poco è nato il nuovo logo in cui molte persone hanno visto un angelo o una farfalla, entrambi gli elementi sono luminosi e riflettono molto bene le energie in cui si muove la mente di Meria Q  nello stato creativo.
Volendo dare una definizione di questa artista, la si può considerare una pittrice intuitiva di immagini mentali, una vera e propria comunicatrice d’arte.
Meria Q  visualizza il subconscio e facendolo riesce a trasferire nelle sue opere immagini che non si è in grado di vedere con i nostri occhi fisici, diventando quindi una sorte di interprete dell’invisibile che si alberga in noi, sia al presente che al passato.
I messaggi, le emozioni e le storie che Meria Q  trasferisce nei suoi dipinti riescono a trasmettere a chi li osserva un senso di pace e tranquillità fino quasi a farli diventare curativi a tal punto che gli occhi di chi li guarda si ritrovano come per magia in un luogo dove la mente può riposare.
L’arte a ben vedere è il luogo principe in cui alberga la meditazione  e le opere di Meria Q sono un vero e proprio invito alla meditazione per poter ben comprende i messaggi che emanano, quasi un flusso delle meraviglie che fa diventare un’opera la predestinata per quel qualcuno che riuscirà a cogliervi appieno il messaggio che l’artista ha voluto lanciare.
Meria Q ha ricevuto una descrizione di se stessa dal mondo dell’astrologia: “ Un’artista misteriosa che crede nei miracoli” e a ben guardare le sue opere non è difficile ritrovarla in questa descrizione perché lasciandosi andare al libero flusso e lasciando che le cose accadano, si creano miracoli e un nuovo mondo si apre davanti a noi con tutti i suoi colori, stati d’animo e dettagli, e questa non c’è che dire è l’arte di Meria Q!

Marjo Riitta Tuovila and her journey between dream and reality

With great pleasure today I present to you the Finnish artist Marjo Riitta Tuovila born Haapavesi where she still lives.
Marjo started drawing at the age of four when a coloring book opened the doors to a new world for her, a world where she let herself be transported between dream and reality!
From her paintings it is not difficult to understand that Marjo is gifted with a remarkable imagination, a fact that as a child caused her some problems at school where instead of following the lesson she was sometimes immersed in her fantasy worlds.
Although her art once helped her get an extra point for the beautiful drawings she’d made after a math test where she couldn’t do the math.
She talked to her father about her passion for art and painting, telling him she wanted to be an artist.
While he didn’t dissuade her, he advised her to study for a real profession.
Today, more than ever, Marjo knows how difficult it is to make a living from art.
Remembering that advice, Marjo is a kindergarten assistant/instructor  and works at Hytti-kallio School in Haapavesi.
She started painting when she was 17 and set herself the goal of becoming good at it ( and I believe there’s no doubt that Marjo has fully achieved her goal ).
In 2005, her artistic journey took a turning point when she discovered portraiture.
It was love at first sight, although perfecting her technique wasn’t easy, and today she expresses herself through highly expressive works that capture attention from the very first glance.
Speaking of technique, Marjo has primarily painted with acrylic paints, which dry quickly and are ideal for those who work quickly, but she recently discovered water-soluble oil paints, which she finds much easier to use and offer more pleasing color combinations.
Another important milestone in her artistic journey was her encounter with animals, which occurred at a time in Marjo’s life when she was questioning our existence in this world, and the freedom, instincts, and sensitivity of animals greatly helped her overcome some of her fears.
She often describes herself as a returning migrant, like migratory birds that fly south every autumn, orienting themselves by instinct and always finding their way back.
The visual arts have been Marjo’s greatest support throughout her life.
Not only have they allowed her to express her true personality, but they have also helped her through those dark moments that occasionally strike us throughout our lives.
In a recent interview for the presentation of her new solo exhibition, Marjo said she feels very fortunate to be able to create new worlds through her journey between dream and reality.
Despite the success achieved through her work, Marjo continues to study art to improve herself, knowing that her desire to learn will never abandon her.
This not only comforts her morally, but fills her life with happiness.
She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, and 29 of her works are currently on display until September 24th in the exhibition ” When the World Dreams of Us ” held at the Tillari Gallery in Nivala.

Marjo Riitta Tuovila e il suo viaggio tra sogno e realtà

Con grande piacere oggi vi presento l’artista finlandese Marjo Riita Tuovila nata a Haapavesi dove tutt’ora vive.
Marjo ha iniziato ha disegnare all’età di quattro anni quando un libro da colorare le ha aperto le porte di un mondo nuovo per lei, un mondo in cui lei si è lasciata trasportare tra sogno e realtà!
Dai suoi dipinti non è difficile capire che Marjo è dotata di una notevole immaginazione fatto questo che da bambina le creava qualche problema a scuola dove lei anziché seguire la lezione talvolta era immersa nei suoi mondi fantastici.
Anche se una volta la sua arte la aiutò a ricevere un punteggio extra per i bei disegni che aveva fatto dietro il test di matematica in cui non riusciva a fare i calcoli.
Della sua passione per l’arte e la pittura ne parlò con il papà dicendogli che voleva fare l’artista e lui pur non dissuadendola le consigliò di studiare per ottenere una vera professione e oggi più di allora Marjo sa di quanto sia difficile guadagnarsi da vivere con l’arte.
Memore di quel consiglio, Marjo è un’assistente istruttore di scuola materna e lavora alla Hytti-kallio School di Haapavesi.
Ha iniziato a dipingere quando aveva 17 anni e si è data come obbiettivo quello di diventare brava ( e credo non ci siano dubbi sul fatto che Marjo ha centrato in pieno il suo goal )
Nel 2005 c’è stata una svolta nel suo percorso artistico quando ha scoperto la ritrattistica, è stato amore a prima vista, anche se non è stato facile l’iter per perfezionare la sua tecnica che oggi si esprime attraverso opere molto espressive e capaci di suscitare l’attenzione già dal primo sguardo.
A proposito di tecnica Marjo ha dipinto principalmente con colori acrilici che asciugandosi in fretta sono molto adatti a chi come lei lavora velocemente, ma recentemente ha scoperto i colori a olio solubili in acqua che le risultano molto più facili da usare e capaci di offrire combinazioni di colori più piacevoli.
Un’altra tappa importante del suo percorso artistico è stata l’incontro con gli animali che è avvenuto in un periodo della vita di Marjo in cui lei si poneva delle domande sulla nostra esistenza in questo mondo e la libertà, gli istinti e la sensibilità degli animali l’hanno aiutata molto a superare certe sue paure.
Lei spesso si definisce un migrante di ritorno, come gli uccelli migratori che ogni autunno volano verso sud orientandosi per istinto e trovando sempre la strada del ritorno.
Le arti visive sono state per Marjo il suo più grande sostegno nella sua vita, non solo le hanno permesso di far uscire all’esterno quella che è la sua vera personalità ma l’hanno anche aiutata in quei momenti bui che ogni tanto ci attraversano nel corso delle nostre vite.
In una recente intervista rilasciata per la presentazione della sua nuova mostra personale Marjo si è detta molto fortunata di poter creare nuovi mondi attraverso il suo viaggio tra sogno e realtà.
Marjo nonostante il successo ottenuto attraverso le sue opere non smette di studiare arte e di perfezionarsi consapevole che la sua voglia di apprendere mai la abbandonerà e questo non solo le è di conforto moralmente ma le riempie la vita di felicità.
Ha partecipato a numerose mostre personali e collettive e attualmente 29 sue opere fino al 24 settembre sono esposte nella mostra “ Quando il mondo sogna di noi “ che si tiene presso la Galleria Tillari a Nivala.

    Emma Davis è nata nel 1975 in Scozia in una famiglia di artisti.
    Ha studiato Arte contemporanea e pittura per quattro anni alla Scuola d’Arte di Glasgow dove si è laureata nel 1998.
    Ha esposto le sue opere in molte gallerie d’arte della Scozia e nel 1999 ha vinto il Alexander Graham Munro Travel Award, assegnato dalla Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolours (RSW).
    Nel 2002 Emma Davis ha vinto il Sir William Giles art award alla RSW nella annuale esibizione.
    Ha vinto numerosi altri premi durante le varie mostre tenute attraverso il Regno Unito.
    Emma Davis dei suoi dipinti dice : “ Io da sempre amo I paesaggi della Scozia e sono cresciuta circondata dalle bellezze del mio Paese.     JoGrundyJo Grundy è nata e cresciuta in una fattoria nel West Berkshire e queste sue origini le hanno dato un amore per la natura e il paesaggio inglese che ha voluto trasmettere agli altri nei suoi dipinti con cui ritrae talvolta in maniera stravagante il mutare delle stagioni del paesaggio inglese.
    Nei primi anni ottanta ha studiato grafica al Berkshire College of Art and Design, poi ha lavorato come designer per circa 14 anni prima di avere i suoi due figli.
    Dopo essersi dedicata alla crescita dei figli, ha iniziato il suo percorso artistico creando dei biglietti di auguri fatti in casa per poi passare a sviluppare il suo stile di pittura.
    Nei suoi dipinti utilizza una tecnica mista che la porta ad utilizzare anche carta, colla e perline per creare opere particolarmente decorate.
    Recentemente ha sviluppato ulteriormente il suo stile, utilizzando solo vernice acrilica e in modo particolare una specifica marca di vernice chiamata Jo Sonja da Chroma che può essere utilizzata indifferentemente su svariate superfici tra cui legno e vetro, ma anche molto bene su carta e tela.
    La sua vena artistica trae ispirazione dalle stagioni sempre mutevoli del paesaggio inglese che ama rappresentare attraverso i suoi caratteristici piccoli cottage che si annidano tra dolci colline e circondati dalla fauna selvatica, fiori e uccelli.
    La sua stagione preferita è l’inverno e spesso e volentieri i quadri che ha in lavorazione vengono venduti prima di essere finiti.
    Solitamente vende le sue opere online, attraverso siti specializzati, e suoi dipinti sono presenti in collezioni in tutto il mondo.
    Ha una gamma di oltre 50 immagini in licenza per la realizzazione di biglietti di auguri, stampe e kit di punto croce.

    8 marzo  solidarietà alle donne ucraine

    Migliaia di donne ucraine vivranno la giornata internazionale delle donne in fuga con i propri figli nel tentativo di raggiungere l’Europa
    E poi ci sono le donne che sono rimaste in Ucraina per accudire gli anziani, per contribuire alla resistenza contro l’oppressore, per piangere i loro morti e devono vivere una quotidianità fatta di spari e bombe
    A queste migliaia di donne va tutta la nostra solidarietà e vicinanza che l’Italia ma direi tutta l’Europa sta facendo sentire in maniera tangibile
    Un pensiero particolare e un abbraccio virtuale vanno a :
    Marina una mamma con la maglietta grigia macchiata del sangue del suo bambino Kirill di 18 mesi che colpito dai bombardamenti a Mariupol non è riuscito a salvarsi una volta giunto nell’ospedale privo di elettricità;
    Olena, con lo sguardo perso nel vuoto , testa fasciata e volto coperto di sangue ferita nel bombardamento a Chuguev che le ha distrutto completamente la casa e che trova la forza con un filo di voce di dire “ sono stata molto fortunata”
    Alla mamma di Zaporizhzhia che dovendo assistere la nonna disabile ha fatto salire su di un treno della salvezza il suo bambino di 11 anni che è arrivato da solo in Slovacchia con un numero di telefono scritto sul palmo della mano per poter contattare dei parenti
    C’è poi un immagine che spiega meglio di ogni altra cosa sia la solidarietà ed è la foto che ritrae una fila di passeggini con tanto di copertine e necessaire per neonati lasciati dalle mamme polacche su un binario di una stazione dei treni in Polonia per rendere meno difficile alle mamme ucraine che arriveranno il loro viaggio lontano dalla guerra
    Un pensiero va anche alle tante mamme russe che non potranno riabbracciare i loro figli mandati a morire ingiustamente

    Oggi è la giornata mondiale contro la violenza sulle donne
    Ma questo giorno poteva essere ieri, o domani, tra una settimana o un mese
    Perché deve essere sempre il 25 novembre
    Per sradicare la violenza bisogna agire su più fronti: agendo sulle coscienze, insistendo sul rispetto, l’uguaglianza e le pari opportunità e in questo genitori e insegnanti possono svolgere un ruolo decisivo Noi uomini dobbiamo prendere coscienza che le donne non vanno mai toccate, nemmeno con un fiore .. ma prima di amarle vanno rispettate
    Ad oggi, 109 donne sono morte in Italia a causa delle violenze nel 2021
    Possa essere la vostra vita sempre serena e felice

    È la figlia più giovane di una coppia che ha vissuto in guerra e durante la sua adolescenza ha avuto il piacere e la facilità di scrivere poesie e recitare in teatro

    Tittart .. quando la tela e i colori si trasformano in bellezza

    Valentina Bisogno in arte “Tittart” nasce a Torino nel 1967 dove dopo il Liceo artistico frequenta una scuola triennale di Arte e Moda
    Con suo grande rammarico non si iscrive all’Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti, perché la vita ha scelto per lei un altro percorso
    Dopo aver girato a lungo l’Italia per lavoro a 28 anni si stabilisce a Milano per poi approdare definitivamente sul Lago Maggiore, dove vive attualmente
    Nel 1998 a seguito di un bruttissimo incidente che la costringe a 11 mesi di fisioterapia e ad 8 interventi di ricostruzione chirurgica della mano destra smette di dipingere definitivamente
    Nel 2015 una delicata operazione alla schiena la tiene ferma per due mesi, ed è in quel momento che riaffiora la passione per la pittura mai sopita, a tal punto da provare se riesce ancora a tenere un pennello in mano
    E così come per magia, andando a bottega dall’artista Patrizia Pollato dopo un percorso formativo durato 4 anni la passione per l’arte trova la forza di uscire dal cassetto dei desideri in cui era stata rinchiusa
    Valentina ricupera il suo tratto e l’uso dei colori e inizia un nuovo percorso artistico che le permetterà di non abbandonare più questa parte così importante di se stessa
    Nasce così l’artista Tittart che attraverso la sua pittura riesce ad esprimere al meglio se stessa, con uno stile pittorico che racconta del suo vissuto travagliato e della sua anima alla perenne ricerca di verità e bellezza

    Marie De Moliner .. Profumo di carta e colla per creare collages unici

    Alzi la mano chi almeno una volta nella vita non si è avventurato nella creazione di un collage, io sono uno di quelli e mi ricordo come se fosse oggi il giorno in cui a scuola mi fu consegnato durante l’ora di disegno un blocco di fogli colorati, un paio di forbici, un cartoncino nero e la mitica “ Coccoina “ colla bianca da stendere con il pennellino e dall’indimenticabile profumo di mandorla
    Fu una esperienza bellissima per me che essendo una vera e propria frana con la matita e il pennello fui in grado di dar sfogo alla mia creatività realizzando un collage astratto che mi valse l’onore di vederlo attaccato con le puntine sul cordolino di legno presente sui muri dell’aula
    Quando ho visto le opere di Marie De Moliner per la prima volta mi sono immediatamente ricordato della mia esperienza scolastica e ho capito molte cose che allora da ragazzo non avevo recepito, innanzitutto che il collage può sembrare una rottura rispetto alle tecniche nobili della pittura e del disegno, ma così non è perché questa forma d’arte comprende tecnica,forma e contenuto
    Ci troviamo di fronte ad una vera e propria rivoluzione che parte da una decostruzione per arrivare ad una ricostruzione vera e propria in cui l’artista si muove in un universo dove tutte le forme possono diventare significanti e la bravura dell’artista consiste nel far apparire nel sui lavoro l’imprevedibile .. quello che non ti saresti aspettato e capace di dare un tocco di originalità ed unicità al lavoro finito
    Marie De Moliner è nata vicino a Parigi nel 1975 e negli anni novanta ha vissuto alcuni anni a New York dove ha frequentato la Parsons School of design e la Fordham University
    Ritornata a Parigi nel 2003 si è laureata in Architettura e dal 2004 vive e lavora a Bergamo
    Si è innamorata dell’arte fin da bambina, sperimentando sempre forme ed espressioni d’arte diverse (acquarello, pittura, scultura, arte digitale …), ma la sua vera espressione artistica è il collage realizzato con frammenti di carta riciclata
    Ha una passione smodata e non potrebbe essere che così, per la raccolta di carta di qualsiasi tipo, fogli e ritagli da riviste, giornali, cataloghi, brochure pubblicitarie, volantini, biglietti, imballaggi, poster e questa fase di ricerca la porta a girare per mercatini dell’usato alla ricerca di quel pezzo di carta che le farà scattare l’idea per poter immaginare una nuova opera
    Da buon architetto Marie trova conforto nella geometria ed è affascinata dalla grafica e non è difficile capire che la sua fonte principale d’ispirazione è la corrente architettonica dello Stile Internazionale
    Nella sua serie di collage intitolata “Paesaggi urbani” , opere che sono state esposte ad una mostra personale a Venezia in occasione della biennale di architettura nel 2018 al primo colpo d’occhio si ritrovano immediatamente le peculiarità dello Stile Internazionale: l’organizzazione dello spazio e la prospettiva con un forte linguaggio geometrico
    Del resto lo Stile Internazionale si basa su una radicale semplificazione della forma, un rifiuto dell’ornamento e l’adozione di vetro, acciaio e cemento come materiali preferiti mentre la trasparenza degli edifici, la costruzione (chiamata l’espressione onesta della struttura) e l’accettazione delle tecniche di produzione di massa industrializzate hanno contribuito alla filosofia di design dello stile internazionale che ha come obiettivo l’internazionalizzazione del linguaggio, quindi la sua massima diffusione, e non l’approfondimento delle regole di una specifica idealità architettonico/figurativa vista anche l’intenzionale riduzione di una vasta quantità di mezzi espressivi
    Marie grazie all’uso di carta riciclata riesce a far emergere sulle tele dei scenari rigorosi e dal carattere pop con una lettura nostalgica e contemporanea
    Marie De Moliner è sicuramente una “ numero uno “ nel variegato mondo artistico dove il collage trova una sua precisa collocazione al pari di disegno e pittura, e forse non tutti sapranno che anche il famosissimo Henri Matisse  sulla sedia rotelle a causa di una grave malattia, si aprì ad una nuova vita artistica, producendo collage di carte coloratissime, spesso in scala enorme

    Hands up those who at least once in their life have not ventured into creating a collage, I am one of those and I remember as if it were the day when I was given a block of colored sheets, a pair of scissors, a black card and the legendary “Coccoina” white glue during the drawing hour to be spread with the little brush and the unforgettable scent of almond
    It was a beautiful experience for me that being a real landslide with the pencil and the brush I was able to give vent to my creativity by creating an abstract collage that earned me the honor of seeing it attached with the pins on the wooden cord on the classroom walls
    When I saw the works of Marie De Moliner for the first time I immediately remembered my school experience and I understood many things that I had not understood then as a boy, first of all that collage may seem like a break from the noble techniques of painting and drawing, but this is not the case because this art form includes technique, form and content
    We are faced with a real revolution that starts from a deconstruction to arrive at a real reconstruction in which the artist moves in a universe where all shapes can become meaningful and the skill of the artist consists in making appear in its work the unpredictable .. what you would not have expected and capable of giving a touch of originality and uniqueness to the finished work
    Marie De Moliner was born near Paris in 1975 and in the 1990s lived a few years in New York where she attended the Parsons School of design and Fordham University

    Returning to Paris in 2003, she graduated in Architecture and has lived and worked in Bergamo, Italy since 2004
    She has fallen in love with art since she was a child, always experimenting with different forms and expressions of art (watercolor, painting, sculpture, digital art …), but her true artistic expression is the collage made with fragments of recycled paper
    She has an unbridled passion and it could not be otherwise, for the collection of paper of any type, sheets and clippings from magazines, newspapers, catalogs, advertising brochures, flyers, tickets, packaging, posters and this research phase leads her to turn to flea markets in search of that piece of paper that will trigger the idea to be able to imagine a new work
    As a good architect Marie finds comfort in geometry and is fascinated by graphics and it is not difficult to understand that her main source of inspiration is the architectural style of the International Style
    In her series of collages entitled “Urban Landscape”, works that have been exhibited at a personal exhibition in Venice on the occasion of the architecture biennale in 2018 at the first glance you immediately find the peculiarities of the International Style: the organization of space and perspective with a strong geometric language
    After all, the International Style is based on a radical simplification of the shape, a refusal of the ornament and the adoption of glass, steel and concrete as preferred materials while the transparency of the buildings, the construction (called the honest expression of the structure) and the acceptance of industrialized mass production techniques have contributed to the design philosophy of the International style which has as its objective the internationalization of language, therefore its maximum diffusion, and not the deepening of the rules of a specific architectural / figurative ideality also considering the intentional reduction of a vast amount of means of expression
    Thanks to the use of recycled paper, Marie manages to bring out rigorous and pop scenes on the canvas with a nostalgic and contemporary reading
    Marie De Moliner is certainly a “number one” in the varied artistic world where collage finds its precise location on a par with drawing and painting, and perhaps not everyone will know that even the very famous Henri Matisse, in a wheelchair due to a serious illness , opened up to a new artistic life, producing collages of colorful papers, often on a huge scale
