Emma Davis è nata nel 1975 in Scozia in una famiglia di artisti.
Ha studiato Arte contemporanea e pittura per quattro anni alla Scuola d’Arte di Glasgow dove si è laureata nel 1998.
Ha esposto le sue opere in molte gallerie d’arte della Scozia e nel 1999 ha vinto il Alexander Graham Munro Travel Award, assegnato dalla Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolours (RSW).
Nel 2002 Emma Davis ha vinto il Sir William Giles art award alla RSW nella annuale esibizione.
Ha vinto numerosi altri premi durante le varie mostre tenute attraverso il Regno Unito.
Emma Davis dei suoi dipinti dice : “ Io da sempre amo I paesaggi della Scozia e sono cresciuta circondata dalle bellezze del mio Paese. Le mie opere esprimono la mia personalità e le mie emozioni verso particolari zone della mia Scozia, la tonalità della luce e dei colori che vedo intorno a me influenzano ciò che dipingo ogni giorno”.

JoGrundyJo Grundy è nata e cresciuta in una fattoria nel West Berkshire e queste sue origini le hanno dato un amore per la natura e il paesaggio inglese che ha voluto trasmettere agli altri nei suoi dipinti con cui ritrae talvolta in maniera stravagante il mutare delle stagioni del paesaggio inglese.
Nei primi anni ottanta ha studiato grafica al Berkshire College of Art and Design, poi ha lavorato come designer per circa 14 anni prima di avere i suoi due figli.
Dopo essersi dedicata alla crescita dei figli, ha iniziato il suo percorso artistico creando dei biglietti di auguri fatti in casa per poi passare a sviluppare il suo stile di pittura.
Nei suoi dipinti utilizza una tecnica mista che la porta ad utilizzare anche carta, colla e perline per creare opere particolarmente decorate.
Recentemente ha sviluppato ulteriormente il suo stile, utilizzando solo vernice acrilica e in modo particolare una specifica marca di vernice chiamata Jo Sonja da Chroma che può essere utilizzata indifferentemente su svariate superfici tra cui legno e vetro, ma anche molto bene su carta e tela.
La sua vena artistica trae ispirazione dalle stagioni sempre mutevoli del paesaggio inglese che ama rappresentare attraverso i suoi caratteristici piccoli cottage che si annidano tra dolci colline e circondati dalla fauna selvatica, fiori e uccelli.
La sua stagione preferita è l’inverno e spesso e volentieri i quadri che ha in lavorazione vengono venduti prima di essere finiti.
Solitamente vende le sue opere online, attraverso siti specializzati, e suoi dipinti sono presenti in collezioni in tutto il mondo.
Ha una gamma di oltre 50 immagini in licenza per la realizzazione di biglietti di auguri, stampe e kit di punto croce.

 

 

 

Jo Grundy was born and raised on a farm in West Berkshire and her origins have given her a love for nature and the English landscape, which she wanted to convey to others in her paintings which sometimes extravagantly portray the changing seasons of the English landscape
In the early eighties he studied graphics at Berkshire College of Art and Design, then worked as a designer for about 14 years before having her two childrenIn her paintings he uses a mixed technique that leads her to also use paper, glue and beads to create particularly decorated works.
Her artistic vein draws inspiration from the ever changing seasons of the English landscape that he loves to represent through his characteristic little cottages nestling among rolling hills and surrounded by wildlife, flowers and birds.
She  usually sells her works online, through specialized sites, and his paintings are present in collections all over the world.She  has a range of over 50 licensed images for making greeting cards, prints and cross stitch kits

Thomas Joseph Stephenson vive a Carrickfergus (in gaelico Carraig Fhearghais, ‘ Rocca di Fergus ‘ ) una piccola cittadina dell’Irlanda del Nord nella Contea di Antrim, sulla riva del Belfast Lough.
Solitamente Thomas lo si può trovare nel suo studio-galleria “ The Court Yard Gallery “, dove dipinge le sue tele in cui ritrae scorci d’Irlanda attraverso la presenza delle immancabili pecore, che sono una vera e propria costante di ogni paesaggio irlandese.

KentColinColin Kent nasce a Londra nel 1934 e attualmente vive nell’Essex
Ha studiato pittura e architettura al Walthamstow College of Art e ha lavorato per un certo numero di anni come architetto prima di dedicarsi completamente alla pittura, dal 1971 è membro del Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours.
Colin nelle sue opere utilizza luci e ombre per creare atmosfere romantiche che danno libero sfogo alla fantasia, I suoi paesaggi danno un senso di tranquillità e gli edifici o chiese che ritrae sono spesso circondati da spazi vuoti o scenari marittimi pieni di melanconia.
Ha tenuto mostre presso The Royal Academy, London, The Royal West of England Academy, The Mall Galleries (vincendo il Buzzacott award and Linda Blackstone award), The Guildhall e molte alter gallerie in Londra, nel Regno Unito e in Usa.
I suoi lavori fanno parte di molte collezioni private in Gran Bretagna, Usa, Francia, Germania, Finlandia e Giappone.

 

Colin Kent was born in London in 1934 and currently lives in Essex

Gary BUNT e l’Art therapy

Gary Bunt è nato nel 1957 a Tonbridge nel Kent.
Da ragazzo ha abbandonato la Scuola d’Arte per abbracciare la carriera di musicista, diventando uno stimato chitarrista di successo.
Dopo molti anni trascorsi nell’ambiente musicale Gary è ritornato, complice l’aver scoperto di essere affetto da una forma tumorale, ai suoi primi amori la pittura e la poesia, iniziando a dipingere in maniera professionale e liberandosi dalla dipendenza dall’alcol e dalle droghe.
Nei suoi quadri Gary rievoca i suoi ricordi di ragazzo, raffigurando con un suo humour del tutto particolare tutto ciò che circonda il mare; nei suoi quadri sono spesso presenti gli animali, in modo particolare i cani che Gary usa per meglio definire il più delle volte le persone ritratte nei suoi dipinti.
Nel 2001 a Gary è stata diagnosticata una forma tumorale e da quel momento ha iniziato ad usare la sua pittura come mezzo per aiutare gli altri, insegnando con successo ad un gruppo di pazienti come l’art theraphy possa attraverso la pittura diventare un importante coadiuvante per meglio affrontare la degenza.
Partendo dalla sua convinzione che quando si dipinge non si pensa a null’altro che a quello che si sta dipingendo, Gary ha saputo trasmettere questo suo credo a moltissime persone che ne hanno tratto giovamento, e lui stesso da tre anni a questa parte è riuscito a liberarsi dal male che lo affliggeva.

In his paintings Gary evokes his memories as a boy, depicting everything that surrounds the sea with his own particular humor; in his paintings there are often animals, especially the dogs that Gary uses to better define most of the time the people portrayed in his paintings
In 2001 Gary was diagnosed with a form of cancer and from that moment he began to use his painting as a means to help others, successfully teaching a group of patients how art theraphy can through painting become an important adjuvant for better face the hospitalization
Starting from his conviction that when you paint you don’t think of anything other than what you are painting, Gary has been able to convey this belief to many people who have benefited from it, and he himself has succeeded for three years now. to free himself from the evil that afflicted him

Amanda Pérez Pruneda è nata a Monterrey, N. L. Messico, il 2 settembre 1968
È la figlia più giovane di una coppia che ha vissuto in guerra e durante la sua adolescenza ha avuto il piacere e la facilità di scrivere poesie e recitare in teatro
La sua famiglia materna “Pruneda” ha avuto molti artisti, mentre la famiglia paterna erano commercianti
Sua madre ha sofferto di depressione e nel luglio 1999 si è tolta la vita, e suo padre è diventato responsabile di Amanda
Termina la laurea in Psicologia e casa, all’età di 45 anni
Ha scritto due libri che parlano delle relazioni di coppia e della loro fallita esperienza matrimoniale
Si è separata e divorzia presto
Suo padre soffre di una grave embolia nel 2018, e viene a mancare dopo soli 4 mesi
Comincia a dipingere costantemente e senza istruzioni nel 2018, senza l’aiuto di modelli o fotografie, ma unicamente guidata dalla sua mente attraverso il suo tema principale ” gli animali”
Il suo carattere solitario l’ha portata a comprare materiali più e più volte per provare nuovi colori e ricreare la sua immaginazione.
Decorando la sua casetta, ha percepito la sensazione di aver trovato il senso della sua vita

Su Madre padecía depresión y en julio de 1999 se quita su propia vida. Su padre queda a cargo de Amanda
Ella termina la licenciatura en Psicología y casa apenas a los 45 años
Escribe dos libros que hablan de las relaciones de pareja y su experiencia fallida casada
Se separa y divorcia al poco tiempo
Su padre sufre una embolia apena el año pasado en 2018 , falleciendo 4 meses después.
Ella inicia a pintar de manera constante y sin instrucción en 2018. Sin modelos ni fotografías. Guiada por su mente. Su tema principal “ los animales”.
Su carácter asocial y solitario la llevaron a comprar material una y otra vez para echar colores y recrear su imaginación.
Decorando su pequeña casa y sintiendo que había encontrado el sentido de su vida.
Consultas psicológicas y pintura son su modo de vivir.

Sanna-Mari Suomela quando l’arte diventa terapia

Sanna–Mari è nata a Turku 39 anni fa e ha due figli
Per un periodo della sua vita ha vissuto anche ad Helsinki,ma amando il silenzio e il contatto con la natura ha fatto ritorno nella sua città natale, dove attualmente vive
In passato ha avuto un’attività in proprio, dove realizzava tessuti per la casa che progettava insieme alla sorella,per poi essere stampati
Ha iniziato a dipingere dopo una dolorosa separazione dal suo compagno di vita e grazie all’arte è riuscita in qualche modo a lenire la sua sofferenza interiore trasferendo il dolore sulle sue tele che raccontano quindi di un mondo interiore che cerca di uscire dal caos in cui era finito
L’arte quindi intesa come terapia, niente di più bello e delicato per capire le mille sfaccettature interiori di un artista
Nel suo cottage estivo ( mökki in finlandese ) che è anche il suo atelier d’arte riesce a trovare la giusta inspirazione per mettere su tela la sua ricerca di serenità
E ora che la burrasca è passata e Sanna-Mari ha saputo ritrovare la sua serenità le è rimasta la cosa più importante, l’ispirazione per continuare a fare arte e trasmettere emozioni attraverso le sue tele

Sanna-Mari Suomela when art becomes therapy

Sanna-Mari was born in Turku 39 years ago and has two kids
For a period of her life she also lived in Helsinki, but loving silence and contact with nature she returned to her hometown, where she currently lives
In the past she had her own business, where she made home textiles that she designed with her sister, to then be printed
She began to paint after a painful separation from her life partner and thanks to art she somehow managed to soothe her inner suffering by transferring the pain onto her canvases which then tell of an inner world that tries to get out of the chaos in which It was finished
Art therefore understhood as therapy,  nothing more beautiful and delicate to understand the thousand inner facets of an artist
In her summer cottage ( mökki in Finnish) which is also her art studio she manages to find the right inspiration to put her search for serenity on canvas
And now that the storm has passed and Sanna-Mari has been able to regain her serenity, she has remained the most important thing, the inspiration to continue making art and transmit emotions through her paintings

Betty Rose Kurc – Che bello il mondo visto con gli occhi di una bimba

Betty Rose Kurc è nata a Rio de Janeiro nel 1954 e discende da famiglie di russi e polacchi arrivati in Brasile tra le due grandi guerre
Ha vissuto per buona parte della sua vita a San Paolo, la più grande città del Brasile e da quando è andata in pensione si è trasferita a São Vicente, sulla costa dello stato di São Paulo
Ha iniziato a disegnare e dipingere fin da bambina e nonostante abbia studiato in una scuola di disegno tecnico e all’università in comunicazione e marketing, ancora oggi quando dipinge continua a vedere il mondo con gli occhi di una bimba
E questa sua visione ci trasmette un disegno colorato e infantile che semplifica le forme e gli conferisce un colore speciale e vibrante, la vera essenza dell’arte naif a cui lei dona un tocco urbano e non rurale come spesso si trova
Ha lavorato in grandi aziende, producendo libri, cartoni animati, fumetti e anche come designer di gioielli
All’inizio della sua attività di pittrice ha fatto mostre in gallerie ma ora preferisce presentare i suoi lavori direttamente in strada
Dal 2017 lavora anche in una fiera d’arte e artigianato organizzata dalla città di Santos, il porto più grande del Brasile

 

How beautiful the world seen through the eyes of a little girl

Betty Rose Kurc was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1954 and descended from families of Russians and Poles who arrived in Brazil between the two great wars
She lived for most of her life in São Paulo, the largest city in Brazil and since retiring she has moved to São Vicente, on the coast of the state of São Paulo
She started to draw and paint since she was a child and despite having studied in a technical drawing school and university in communication and marketing, even today, when she paints, she continues to see the world through the eyes of a little girl
And this vision conveys a colorful and childish design that simplifies the shapes and gives it a special and vibrant color, the true essence of naive art to which she gives an urban and non-rural touch as often found
She has worked in large companies, producing books, cartoons, comics and also as a jewelry designer
At the beginning of her activity as a paintress, she made exhibitions in galleries but now she prefers to present her works directly on the street
Since 2017 she has also worked in an art and craft fair organized by the city of Santos, the largest port in Brazil

 

Quão bonito o mundo é visto através dos olhos de uma criança

Betty Rose Kurc nasceu no Rio de Janeiro em 1954 e descendia de famílias de russos e poloneses que chegaram ao Brasil entre as duas grandes guerras
Ela viveu a maior parte de sua vida em São Paulo, a maior cidade do Brasil e, desde que se aposentou, mudou-se para São Vicente, no litoral do estado de São Paulo.
Ela começou a desenhar e pintar desde criança e, apesar de ter estudado em uma escola de desenho técnico e universidade em comunicação e marketing, ainda hoje, quando pinta, continua vendo o mundo através dos olhos de uma criança.
E essa sua visão transmite um design colorido e infantil que simplifica as formas e confere uma cor especial e vibrante, a verdadeira essência da arte ingênua à qual ela dá um toque urbano e não rural, como frequentemente encontrado
Ele trabalhou em grandes empresas, produzindo livros, desenhos animados, quadrinhos e também como designer de jóias
No início de sua atividade como pintora, fez exposições em galerias, mas agora prefere apresentar seus trabalhos diretamente na rua
Desde 2017, ele também trabalha em uma feira de arte e artesanato organizada pela cidade de Santos, o maior porto do Brasil

Jihan Jundi è un’artista siriana nata a Homs e vive a Dubai da 17 anni
Ha studiato ingegneria civile, ma la sua passione era e sarà per sempre l’arte
Ha iniziato ad amare il disegno e la pittura fin da quando era piccola, ma poi come spesso accade la vita impedito di continuare a coltivare la sua passione dovendo fare altro
Poi come spesso accade a chi ha l’arte nel sangue, Jihan quattro anni fa ha sentito un desiderio impellente di tornare a dipingere e così ha fatto, per la gioia di chi oggi può ammirare le sue opere
