Emma Davis è nata nel 1975 in Scozia in una famiglia di artisti.
Ha studiato Arte contemporanea e pittura per quattro anni alla Scuola d’Arte di Glasgow dove si è laureata nel 1998.
Ha esposto le sue opere in molte gallerie d’arte della Scozia e nel 1999 ha vinto il Alexander Graham Munro Travel Award, assegnato dalla Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolours (RSW).
Nel 2002 Emma Davis ha vinto il Sir William Giles art award alla RSW nella annuale esibizione.
Ha vinto numerosi altri premi durante le varie mostre tenute attraverso il Regno Unito.
Emma Davis dei suoi dipinti dice : “ Io da sempre amo I paesaggi della Scozia e sono cresciuta circondata dalle bellezze del mio Paese. Le mie opere esprimono la mia personalità e le mie emozioni verso particolari zone della mia Scozia, la tonalità della luce e dei colori che vedo intorno a me influenzano ciò che dipingo ogni giorno”.

JoGrundyJo Grundy è nata e cresciuta in una fattoria nel West Berkshire e queste sue origini le hanno dato un amore per la natura e il paesaggio inglese che ha voluto trasmettere agli altri nei suoi dipinti con cui ritrae talvolta in maniera stravagante il mutare delle stagioni del paesaggio inglese.
Nei primi anni ottanta ha studiato grafica al Berkshire College of Art and Design, poi ha lavorato come designer per circa 14 anni prima di avere i suoi due figli.
Dopo essersi dedicata alla crescita dei figli, ha iniziato il suo percorso artistico creando dei biglietti di auguri fatti in casa per poi passare a sviluppare il suo stile di pittura.
Nei suoi dipinti utilizza una tecnica mista che la porta ad utilizzare anche carta, colla e perline per creare opere particolarmente decorate.
Recentemente ha sviluppato ulteriormente il suo stile, utilizzando solo vernice acrilica e in modo particolare una specifica marca di vernice chiamata Jo Sonja da Chroma che può essere utilizzata indifferentemente su svariate superfici tra cui legno e vetro, ma anche molto bene su carta e tela.
La sua vena artistica trae ispirazione dalle stagioni sempre mutevoli del paesaggio inglese che ama rappresentare attraverso i suoi caratteristici piccoli cottage che si annidano tra dolci colline e circondati dalla fauna selvatica, fiori e uccelli.
La sua stagione preferita è l’inverno e spesso e volentieri i quadri che ha in lavorazione vengono venduti prima di essere finiti.
Solitamente vende le sue opere online, attraverso siti specializzati, e suoi dipinti sono presenti in collezioni in tutto il mondo.
Ha una gamma di oltre 50 immagini in licenza per la realizzazione di biglietti di auguri, stampe e kit di punto croce.

 

 

 

Jo Grundy was born and raised on a farm in West Berkshire and her origins have given her a love for nature and the English landscape, which she wanted to convey to others in her paintings which sometimes extravagantly portray the changing seasons of the English landscape

Olivia Rose Turner è una giovane modista britannica di 23 anni che vive e lavora in Buckinghamshire, UK
Ha studiato inglese e scrittura creativa alla Royal Holloway University di Londra ed a metà del suo diploma di laurea in arte ha dovuto lasciare a causa della forte ansia
Dopo aver lasciato gli studi, non ha rinunciato al suo sogno di riuscire in una carriera creativa e ha iniziato a fare cappelli, in parte per motivi terapeutici ma anche e soprattutto perchè attratta da sempre dal mondo dei cappelli
Olivia Rose proviene da una lunga serie di Showmen inglesi: un business, uno stile di vita e una società che è stata tramandata attraverso molte generazioni, la sua famiglia, opera e viaggia con attrazioni fiere e divertimenti a Londra e dintorni
Dopo aver frequentato Royal Ascot per 5 anni consecutivi, ed essendo un ospite di matrimoni seriale, Olivia Rose ha sempre avuto un grande apprezzamento per cappelli e copricapo. Gli Showmen conoscono molti altri showmen, e quasi sempre si sposano all’interno dell’azienda, e per questo motivo ci sono molti matrimoni in questo ambiente lavorativo
I matrimoni degli Showmen sono spesso elaborati e le donne indossano sempre cappelli che spesso si abbinano perfettamente ai loro abiti, è un vero spettacolo! Queste signore molto alla moda hanno costituito all’inizio la sua base clienti e sono state i migliori modelli e sostenitori del suo lavoro
Olivia Rose è prevalentemente autodidatta, ma ha completato alcuni corsi quando voleva imparare come fare determinate tecniche o lavorare con materiali specifici. Tuttavia, piuttosto che seguire esclusivamente i metodi di questi modisti, ha cercato di sviluppare un proprio stile che le ha permesso di produrre copricapi unici
Quest’estate Olivia Rose è diventata una modista pluripremiata nel Regno Unito e in Spagna. Ha vinto il primo Best Millinery Award di Newmarket, ospitato dal talentuoso Ana Bella Millinery, e poi ha vinto il miglior cappello nella categoria “Spiaggia” alla La Palma Hat Week , organizzato dall’affascinante Judith e Karl Kinsky, e giudicata da una giuria di rinomati mugnai e professionisti del settore. Ha anche presentato due cappelli alla Great Hat Exhibition della London Hat Week all’inizio di quest’anno, e uno dei suoi cappelli è stato selezionato dall’adorabile Monique Lee, per presentarsi in una piccola collezione alla festa di anteprima stampa presso il flagship store Pinko a Londra.
Avendo acquistato molti cappelli e copricapo su misura prima della sua carriera di modista, Olivia Rose sa cosa vuol dire essere nella posizione del suo cliente e per questo cerca di essere molto comunicativa con i suoi clienti, le piace dare loro molte opzioni, idee e aggiornamenti sul processo, in modo che diventino parte della creazione e il risultato sia un cappello davvero su misura, non solo un capo affascinante che accompagna il loro vestito. Il suo obiettivo primario è sempre quello di creare copricapi di alta qualità, unici, comodi e intercambiabili con diversi outfits
Nell’industria della moda in questi giorni si è fatta strada l’idea della moda usa e getta; il che significa che un abito può essere indossato solo una volta perché è stato catturato e documentato sui social media.
Ma Olivia Rose non scende a compromessi sullo stile “usa e getta”, vuole che i suoi cappelli siano amati, apprezzati, curati e indossati più e più volte, un pezzo di “head art” non solo un accessorio.
Olivia Rose ama i cappelli perché sono naturalmente più architettonici degli abiti e hanno la capacità di fornire struttura, equilibrio e simmetria al vestito e al corpo di una persona. Adora i colori, i drammi, le stampe contrastanti, le perline, i ricami, i fiori e adora mescolarli! . Io credo che il suo stile possa in parte essere attribuito al suo background di Showman; essere cresciuta nei luna park, ha sicuramente influenzato la vivacità e il dramma dei suoi copricapi. Anche la sua passione per l’artigianato è in qualche modo ereditata, gli antenati di sua nonna erano persone del circo e lei la confrontava con la sua bisnonna che creava i costumi per gli spettacoli.
Attualmente Olivia Rose lavora da sola e ha creato il suo laboratorio in una stanza della casa in cui vive con i genitori nel Buckinghamshire, usa la sua roulotte disabitata come spazio di archiviazione e sta pianificando, con l’aiuto del suo fidanzato, la trasformazione della roulotte in un laboratorio mobile, dove può lavorare mentre viaggia per Londra
La sua modisteria ha ripristinato la sua fiducia e le ha permesso di attingere a tutti i suoi interessi e le sue abilità per lavorare in un modo adatto alla dualità della sua vita. Olivia Rose è alimentata dalla sua passione per l’artigianato che le consente di scolpire bellissimi pezzi che a loro volta fanno sentire belli anche le sue  clienti.

Showmen weddings are often elaborate and women always wear hats that often match their clothes perfectly, it’s a real show! These very fashionable ladies initially formed their client base and were the best models and supporters of her work
Olivia Rose is predominantly self-taught, but completed some courses when she wanted to learn how to do certain techniques or work with specific materials. This summer Olivia Rose has become an award-winning milliner in the UK and Spain. Her millinery restored her confidence, and allowed her to draw upon all her interests and skills to work in a way that suits the duality of her life. Olivia Rose is fueled by her passion for craft which allows her to sculpt beautiful pieces that in turn make her clients feel beautiful too.

Cynthia Jones-Bryson è una modista australiana pluripremiata, è nata a Delegate nel New South Wales e ora vive nella capitale Canberra
Cynthia negli ultimi 16 anni ha progettato e realizzato fantastici modellini pluri premiati

Barbara Marchi BAM .. Buon Compleanno! 5 Anni pieni di amore per l’Arte

L’artista Barbara Marchi molto gentilmente mi ha invitato alla festa in Arte e colore che si terrà oggi pomeriggio per festeggiare il compleanno dei 5 anni di attività del suo laboratorio d’arte BAM
Ringrazio Barbara per l’invito ma per impegni assunti in precedenza non potrò presenziare, ma questo mio post vuol essere un augurio per il prosieguo della sua attività!
5 anni sono l’età in cui un bambino inizia a pensare che di lì a poco prenderà il volo iniziando ad andare a scuola
Auguro a Barbara e al suo Laboratorio che nel frattempo è diventato anche una galleria d’arte di poter spiccare il volo verso nuovi e sempre più entusiasmanti successi e riconoscimenti

I thank Barbara for the invitation but for commitments made previously I will not be able to attend but this post of mine is intended as a wish for the continuation of her business!
5 years are the age at which a child begins to think that soon she will take off and start going to school
I wish Barbara and her Laboratory, which in the meantime has also become an art gallery, to be able to take off towards new and increasingly exciting successes and awards

Barbara Marchi nasce nel 1972 nel centro storico della “Dotta“ Bologna ( per la sua Università, l’Alma Mater Studiorum, fondata nell’anno 1088, nonché prima Università del mondo occidentale)
Inizia a disegnare, dipingere ed a cibarsi di arte e cultura ancora prima di saper scrivere il suo nome per poi frequentare il Liceo Artistico e l’ Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche con indirizzo Design ceramica
Partendo dallo studio dell’arte della ceramica e del design contemporaneo si avvicina alla sua vocazione artistica “ il mondo materico della pittura “ e dopo diverse sperimentazioni con tecniche e materiali diversi arriva alla tecnica che la consacrerà come artista, ovvero l’utilizzo dello stucco spatolato su tela
Ecco quindi che un materiale povero come lo stucco diventa il vero e proprio protagonista di questa geniale artista che lo spalma su tutta la tela per poi lavorarlo con dita e spatola arrivando a creare una “pittoscultura” che grazie all’uso degli acrilici fa emergere una espressione cromatica perfetta dove le tonalità piene e forti riescono a trasmettere un caldo impatto emotivo capace di rendere visibile l’essenza interiore di questa artista
A questo proposito sono mirabili i suoi “Cuori infranti” di cui uno scelto dal critico Vittorio Sgarbi per il concorso “ I mille di Sgarbi 2019 “
La campagna dove ora vive è una grande fonte di ispirazione per lei e le colline e pianure emiliane le permettono di regalarci albe e tramonti meravigliosi per non parlare degli alberi spogli che nelle nebbie invernali ci evocano fantasmi o incredibili panorami astratti
Per non parlare degli animali che ritrae .. sembrano uscire dalla tela per farvi le fusa o prendere le coccole
Un discorso a parte merita la Luna, che lei ritrae in maniera sublime tanto da chiedersi ma cosa pensava esattamente quando ha dipinto questa luna inquadrata?
Siamo di fronte ad un artista di spessore che ha studiato l’arte antica, affascinata da tutta l’arte pittorica e scultorea dal preistorico al rinascimento fino all’arte messicana dei Maya e degli Aztechi e per sua stessa ammissione sono 5 i grandi pittori che l’hanno fatta volare in alto nel suo percorso formativo : Artemisia Gentileschi, pittrice donna del ‘500 di scuola caravaggesca; il grande pittore inglese William Turner, innamorato come lei del cielo e delle nuvole; Vincent Van Gogh che con il suo genio rivoluzionario è stato il primo a dipingere soggetti umili come grano e contadini e soggetti naturali come fiori e cieli notturni; Frida Khalo per la sua grande sensibilità umana e Pablo Picasso per il suo modo inconfondibile di essere un visionario
Dal 2015 Barbara ha scelto di dedicarsi completamente alla sua vocazione per la pittura trasformandola in un lavoro a tempo pieno e nel novembre 2016 ha inaugurato a Casalecchio di Reno il suo negozio e atelier “ Laboratorio d’Arte BAM” che diventa la culla del suo genio poetico trasferito nella pittura
Nel suo Laboratorio Barbara organizza con grande successo dei corsi di “ Pittoscultura” per adulti e bambini, dove proprio i bambini diventano i veri protagonisti di un proverbio mai passato di moda ‘impara l’arte e mettila da parte’
Imparare a disegnare prima o poi, non solo diventa propedeutico a dipingere ma può tornare utile per la vita pratica, quante volte capita di non riuscire ad esprimere un concetto perché mancano le parole giuste per farsi capire e allora ecco che un buon disegno può far vedere ciò che con le parole non riuscivi ad esprimere
Ah .. dimenticavo, Barbara ha una bellissima figlia di nome Giada di 11 anni che da come dipinge e disegna supererà di sicuro in bravura la mamma .. ma si sa i bambini sono il futuro!

Barbara Marchi BAM .. learn the art and put it aside

Barbara Marchi was born in 1972 in the historic center of the “Dotta” Bologna (for her university, the Alma Mater Studiorum, founded in 1088, as well as the first university in the western world)
She began to draw, paint and feed on art and culture even before she was able to write her name before attending the Artistic High School and the Higher Institute for the Artistic Industries with address Design ceramic

We are facing a thick artist who studied ancient art, fascinated by all the pictorial and sculptural art from prehistoric to the Renaissance to the Mexican art of the Maya and Aztecsand by her own admission, 5 great painters who made her fly high in her training path
Artemisia Gentileschi, 16th century female paintress of the Caravaggesque school; the great English painter William Turner, like her in love with the sky and the clouds; Vincent Van Gogh who with his revolutionary genius was the first to paint humble subjects such as wheat and peasants and natural subjects such as flowers and night skies; Frida Khalo for her great human sensitivity and Pablo Picasso for his unmistakable way of being a visionary
Since 2015 Barbara has chosen to devote herself entirely to her vocation for painting by transforming it into a full-time job and in November 2016 she inaugurated her shop and atelier “Laboratorio d’Arte BAM” in Casalecchio di Reno (BO) which becomes the cradle of her genius poetic transferred to painting
In her workshop Barbara organizes “pictorial sculpture” courses for adults and children with great success, where children become the real protagonists of a proverb that never went out of fashion “learn art and put it aside”

Asti – 9° edizione del Bagna Cauda Day dal 26 al 28 novembre 2021

A Monaco di Baviera celebrano l’October Fest, Asti e il Piemonte puntano sul novembre dedicato alla Bagna Cauda con una punta d’ironia a cominciare dal logo: Bagna Cauda Day si può leggere anche Bagna Cauda d’aj, cioè d’aglio in piemontese.
Asti e dintorni ospita l’evento (che quest’anno spegne nove candeline)  promosso dall’Associazione Astigiani con lo scopo di mettere insieme la tradizione del più famoso piatto piemontese con la novità di un incontro che diventa festa, un po’ happening, un po’ evento a sorpresa, BCD (l’acronimo di Bagna Cauda Day, gioca tra il piemontese e l’inglese) è convocato via Internet e aperto a tutti i fans della Bagna Cauda nel mondo
Quest’anno dopo l’edizione in delivery del 2020 si ritorna in presenza e per dare la possibilità ai tantissimi bagnacaudisti che vorranno degustare questo piatto prelibato la manifestazione si terrà in due weekend, dal 26 al 28 novembre e dal 3 al 5 dicembre quando in un centinaio di ristoranti, vinerie, cantine storiche ad Asti, in altre località del Piemonte e del Mondo verrà celebrata  la Bagna Cauda, il piatto della convivialità, con la possibilità di scegliere a seconda dei propri gusti la versione più indicata a ciascun palato:
Rossa: “Come Dio Comanda” (ricetta tradizionale), Gialla: “Eretica” (poco aglio),Verde: “Atea” (senza aglio)
Cuochi e cuoche dell’Astigiano, Langa e Roero proporranno la loro Bagna Cauda tradizionale e la fortunata formula non cambia, con  un prezzo di riferimento del piatto in tutti i locali che sarà di 25 euro, mentre il vino verrà proposto al prezzo di 12 euro a bottiglia, grazie all’accordo con quattro importanti case vinicole astigiane leader della Barbera: Bava di Cocconato, Braida di Rocchetta Tanaro, Cascina Castlet di Costigliole e Coppo di Canelli.

Le prenotazioni possono essere fatte telefonando direttamente ai locali indicati sul sito web della manifestazione, dove sarà possibile verificare in tempo reale la disponibilità dei posti ancora liberi per ogni singolo ristorante aderente all’iniziativa.
I bagnacaudisti riceveranno in omaggio  il bavaglione d’autore, firmato da Sergio Ponchione in tessuto, con logo del Bagna Cauda Day  e ben visibile la scritta ” Quarta dose! “ da usare e tenere a ricordo dell’evento.

LA RICETTA della BAGNA CAUDA
Esistono varie ricette per realizzare la bagna cauda, a libera interpretazione del singolo cuoco o secondo tradizioni famigliari tramandate di madre in figlia o di generazione in generazione.
Tra tutte, l’Accademia Italia della Cucina ne ha depositata una, registrata il 7 febbraio 2005, ritenuta dopo vari assaggi la più affidabile e tramandabile.

Ingredienti per 12 persone:

12 teste d’aglio
6 bicchieri da vino di olio d’oliva e, se possibile un bicchierino di olio di noci
6 etti di acciughe rosse di Spagna

Tagliare a fettine gli spicchi d’aglio precedentemente svestiti e privati del germoglio, quindi mettere l’aglio in un tegame di coccio, aggiungere un bicchiere d’olio e iniziare la cottura a fuoco molto basso rimescolando con un cucchiaio di legno, senza fargli prendere colore.
Aggiungere poi le acciughe dissalate e diliscate continuando a rimescolare, quindi versare il restante olio e portare l’intingolo a cottura a fuoco basso per circa mezz’ora evitando che la bagna frigga.
Al termine della cottura si può aggiungere a piacere un pezzetto di burro freschissimo per dare un gusto più morbido alla bagna.
La bagna una volta pronta va versata negli appositi “fujot” (forellini di coccio) e accompagnata con le seguenti verdure:
crude: cardi gobbi di Nizza, topinanbours, cuori di cavolo bianco, indivia e scarola, peperoni freschi e sotto graspa, cipollotti inquartati ed immersi nel vino barbera crudo;
cotte: barbabietole rosse, patate lesse, cipolle al forno, zucca fritta, peperoni arrostiti.
La tradizione vuole che alla fine lo “spesso della bagna” si raccolga strapazzandovi dentro un uovo

In last weekend of november in Piedmont the “Bagna Cauda Day” is celebrated, this tasty and very particular sauce will be served in many restaurants
The bagna cauda typical winter dish of the Piedmont region (in Italian is called “hot sauce“) is history, tradition, encounter of cultures and flavors
The preparation of bagna cauda is based on a few basic ingredients (garlic, extra virgin olive oil and anchovies) and then the classic seasonal vegetables to dip in the wet come on the scene: cardoon, pepper, topinamburs, cabbage, fennel, celery, artichokes, spring onions, beets, etc.
My recipe adapted for Finnish friends is this: remove the inner core from the garlic so that it is more digestible and soak it in milk for 1 hour, then finely chop it
Fry the garlic in an earthenware pot (or in a normal pot) in plenty of extra virgin olive oil and then add the desalted anchovies or those in oil
When the anchovies begin to melt, add 100 ml of cream, mix well and serve hot in single portion cups where everyone can dip the various raw and cooked vegetables (the delicious Finnish potatoes are also perfect )

Sua madre ha sofferto di depressione e nel luglio 1999 si è tolta la vita, e suo padre è diventato responsabile di Amanda

Suo padre soffre di una grave embolia nel 2018, e viene a mancare dopo soli 4 mesi

Amanda Pérez Pruneda was born in Monterrey, N. L. Mexico, September 2, 1968
She is the youngest daughter of a couple who lived in the war and during her adolescence she had the pleasure and ease of writing poetry and acting in the theater
Her maternal family “Pruneda” had many artists, while the paternal family were merchants
Her mother suffered from depression and took her own life in July 1999, and her father became responsible for Amanda
She finished her degree in Psychology and home, at the age of 45
She has written two books that talk about couple relationships and their failed marriage experience
She separated and divorced soon
Her father suffered a severe embolism in 2018, and died after only 4 months
She starts painting constantly and without instructions in 2018, without the help of models or photographs, but solely guided by her mind through her main theme “the animals”
Her solitary character led her to buy materials over and over again to try new colors and recreate her imagination
Decorating her house, she felt the sensation of having found the meaning of her life

Tittart .. quando la tela e i colori si trasformano in bellezza

Valentina Bisogno in arte “Tittart” nasce a Torino nel 1967 dove dopo il Liceo artistico frequenta una scuola triennale di Arte e Moda
Con suo grande rammarico non si iscrive all’Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti, perché la vita ha scelto per lei un altro percorso
Dopo aver girato a lungo l’Italia per lavoro a 28 anni si stabilisce a Milano per poi approdare definitivamente sul Lago Maggiore, dove vive attualmente
Nel 1998 a seguito di un bruttissimo incidente che la costringe a 11 mesi di fisioterapia e ad 8 interventi di ricostruzione chirurgica della mano destra smette di dipingere definitivamente
Nel 2015 una delicata operazione alla schiena la tiene ferma per due mesi, ed è in quel momento che riaffiora la passione per la pittura mai sopita, a tal punto da provare se riesce ancora a tenere un pennello in mano
E così come per magia, andando a bottega dall’artista Patrizia Pollato dopo un percorso formativo durato 4 anni la passione per l’arte trova la forza di uscire dal cassetto dei desideri in cui era stata rinchiusa
Valentina ricupera il suo tratto e l’uso dei colori e inizia un nuovo percorso artistico che le permetterà di non abbandonare più questa parte così importante di se stessa
Nasce così l’artista Tittart che attraverso la sua pittura riesce ad esprimere al meglio se stessa, con uno stile pittorico che racconta del suo vissuto travagliato e della sua anima alla perenne ricerca di verità e bellezza
Attraverso le sue opere Tittart riesce a mettere da parte la sua timidezza e le sue insicurezza per
raffigurare quella gioia di vivere che le permette di trasformare tela e colori in quella bellezza che attraverso la natura che ritrare diventa il suo rifugio da dove sfuggire alle brutture del mondo

Valentina Bisogno, “Tittart” was born in Turin in 1967 where after the artistic high school she attended a three-year school of Art and Fashion
To her great regret, she does not enroll in the Albertina Academy of Fine Arts, because life has chosen another path for her
After traveling around Italy for a long time for work, at the age of 28 she settled in Milan and then landed permanently on Lake Maggiore, where she currently lives
In 1998, following a very bad accident that forced her to 11 months of physiotherapy and 8 surgical reconstruction operations on her right hand, she stopped painting permanently
In 2015, a delicate operation on her back kept her still for two months, and it was at that moment that her passion for painting, which had never subsided, resurfaces, to the point of trying if she can still hold a brush in her hand

Sofia Fresia Art .. un tuffo nell’arte

Sofia Fresia è nata a Genova nel 1992 e vive tra Torino e la Valbormida dove vivono i suoi genitori

Dal  2015 studia pittura all’Accademia Albertina di Torino e attualmente frequenta l’ultimo anno del biennio specialistico della Scuola di Pittura

Nel 2014 ha ottenuto la laurea in infermieristica e nel 2018 quella di I livello con la tesi “Deriva e naufragio. L’arte del naufragio come ricerca di salvezza” che affronta il tema del fallimento e della mancanza di riferimenti stabili per i giovani attraverso immagini provenienti dal mondo del nuoto agonistico e delle piscine ricreative

Si è avvicinata all’arte per la prima volta grazie alla visita della mostra “Gli impressionisti e la neve” (2005), da cui ha tratto un enorme interesse verso la pittura figurativa e di paesaggio

Non avendo avuto la possibilità di  frequentare il liceo artistico, ha coltivato la sua passione da autodidatta finché la pittura non si è rivelata cruciale nell’affrontare un lungo ricovero ospedaliero

Dipingere ha riacceso in lei una scintilla di interesse per la vita e l’ha aiutata a trovare la forza per liberarsi dai suoi fantasmi

Agonista di nuoto per salvamento e accompagnatrice di media montagna, si interessa alle tematiche sociali e ambientali cui contribuisce anche con il volontariato

Ha sempre con se i suoi due  taccuini che utilizza prevalentemente in montagna d’estate o nel corso di qualche viaggio (particolarmente utili durante le traversate di più giorni in montagna, sia per tenere memoria delle singole giornate come una sorta di diario di bordo visivo, sia per riempire le lunghe attese in rifugio al termine di ogni tappa)

I suoi primi lavori erano a carattere fortemente figurativo e connessi agli aspetti che più sentiva legati alla sua  rinascita, come la montagna e il nuoto; usava la pittura per parlare di se a se stessa, come a dire “eccomi, sono qui e sono diventata questa persona”

In seguito ha iniziato a usare la pittura per parlare di se agli altri e questa è stata una rivoluzione perché si è resa conto che la comunicazione attraverso i dipinti era più incisiva di quella a parole, e le permetteva di affrontare problemi sui quali non avrebbe mai osato intavolare un discorso

Tra tutti i lavori quelli che sente al momento più “suoi” sono i dipinti a olio della serie Pools, nei quali pensa di essere riuscita a trovare la giusta via di mezzo tra il messaggio da veicolare e l’attrazione personale innata per la pittura di stampo accademico che ad oggi viene spesso vista più come un vincolo anacronistico che come un’abilità

 Piscine vuote, edifici e oggetti abbandonati, porte che si spalancano su mondi e tempi inaccessibili: nella sua ricerca l’artista utilizza alcuni soggetti ricorrenti nella propria esperienza di vita ricombinandoli in lavori di matrice surrealista che affrontano prevalentemente temi di carattere sociale

 

Sofia Fresia was born in Genoa in 1992 and lives between Turin and Valbormida where her parents live

Since 2015 she has been studying painting at the Albertina Academy in Turin and is currently attending the last year of the two-year specialist course at the School of Painting

In 2014 she obtained a degree in nursing and in 2018 the 1st level degree with the thesis “Drift and shipwreck. The art of shipwreck as a search for salvation ” which addresses the theme of failure and the lack of stable references for young people through images from the world of competitive swimming and recreational pools

She approached art for the first time thanks to a visit to the exhibition “The Impressionists and the Snow” (2005), from which she drew a huge interest in figurative and landscape painting

Not having had the opportunity to attend art high school, she cultivated her passion as a self-taught person until painting proved to be crucial in facing a long hospital stay

Painting rekindled a spark of interest in life in her and helped her find the strength to free herself from her ghosts

Swimming agonist for rescue and mid-mountain companion, she is interested in social and environmental issues to which she also contributes with volunteering

She  always has two notebooks with her  which she mainly uses in the mountains in the summer or during some travels (particularly useful during multi-day crossings in the mountains, both to keep memory of individual days as a sort of visual logbook, both to fill the long waits in the refuge at the end of each stage)

Her  first works were strongly figurative and connected to the aspects that she felt most linked to her rebirth, such as the mountains and swimming; she used painting to talk about herself to herself, as if to say “here I am, I’m here and I’ve become this person”

She later started using painting to talk about herself to others and this was a revolution because she realized that communication through paintings was more incisive than words, and allowed her to face problems she would never have dared to strike up a speech

Among all the works, the ones she feels most “hers” at the moment are the oil paintings of the Pools series, in which she thinks she has managed to find the right middle ground between the message to convey and the innate personal attraction for painting by academic style that today is often seen more as an anachronistic constraint than as a skill

Empty swimming pools, abandoned buildings and objects, doors that open wide onto inaccessible worlds and times: in her  research the artist uses some recurring subjects in her own life experience, recombining them in surrealist works that mainly deal with social themes

Marie De Moliner .. Profumo di carta e colla per creare collages unici

Alzi la mano chi almeno una volta nella vita non si è avventurato nella creazione di un collage, io sono uno di quelli e mi ricordo come se fosse oggi il giorno in cui a scuola mi fu consegnato durante l’ora di disegno un blocco di fogli colorati, un paio di forbici, un cartoncino nero e la mitica “ Coccoina “ colla bianca da stendere con il pennellino e dall’indimenticabile profumo di mandorla
Fu una esperienza bellissima per me che essendo una vera e propria frana con la matita e il pennello fui in grado di dar sfogo alla mia creatività realizzando un collage astratto che mi valse l’onore di vederlo attaccato con le puntine sul cordolino di legno presente sui muri dell’aula
Quando ho visto le opere di Marie De Moliner per la prima volta mi sono immediatamente ricordato della mia esperienza scolastica e ho capito molte cose che allora da ragazzo non avevo recepito, innanzitutto che il collage può sembrare una rottura rispetto alle tecniche nobili della pittura e del disegno, ma così non è perché questa forma d’arte comprende tecnica,forma e contenuto
Ci troviamo di fronte ad una vera e propria rivoluzione che parte da una decostruzione per arrivare ad una ricostruzione vera e propria in cui l’artista si muove in un universo dove tutte le forme possono diventare significanti e la bravura dell’artista consiste nel far apparire nel sui lavoro l’imprevedibile .. quello che non ti saresti aspettato e capace di dare un tocco di originalità ed unicità al lavoro finito
Marie De Moliner è nata vicino a Parigi nel 1975 e negli anni novanta ha vissuto alcuni anni a New York dove ha frequentato la Parsons School of design e la Fordham University
Ritornata a Parigi nel 2003 si è laureata in Architettura e dal 2004 vive e lavora a Bergamo
Si è innamorata dell’arte fin da bambina, sperimentando sempre forme ed espressioni d’arte diverse (acquarello, pittura, scultura, arte digitale …), ma la sua vera espressione artistica è il collage realizzato con frammenti di carta riciclata
Ha una passione smodata e non potrebbe essere che così, per la raccolta di carta di qualsiasi tipo, fogli e ritagli da riviste, giornali, cataloghi, brochure pubblicitarie, volantini, biglietti, imballaggi, poster e questa fase di ricerca la porta a girare per mercatini dell’usato alla ricerca di quel pezzo di carta che le farà scattare l’idea per poter immaginare una nuova opera
Da buon architetto Marie trova conforto nella geometria ed è affascinata dalla grafica e non è difficile capire che la sua fonte principale d’ispirazione è la corrente architettonica dello Stile Internazionale
Nella sua serie di collage intitolata “Paesaggi urbani” , opere che sono state esposte ad una mostra personale a Venezia in occasione della biennale di architettura nel 2018 al primo colpo d’occhio si ritrovano immediatamente le peculiarità dello Stile Internazionale: l’organizzazione dello spazio e la prospettiva con un forte linguaggio geometrico
Del resto lo Stile Internazionale si basa su una radicale semplificazione della forma, un rifiuto dell’ornamento e l’adozione di vetro, acciaio e cemento come materiali preferiti mentre la trasparenza degli edifici, la costruzione (chiamata l’espressione onesta della struttura) e l’accettazione delle tecniche di produzione di massa industrializzate hanno contribuito alla filosofia di design dello stile internazionale che ha come obiettivo l’internazionalizzazione del linguaggio, quindi la sua massima diffusione, e non l’approfondimento delle regole di una specifica idealità architettonico/figurativa vista anche l’intenzionale riduzione di una vasta quantità di mezzi espressivi
Marie grazie all’uso di carta riciclata riesce a far emergere sulle tele dei scenari rigorosi e dal carattere pop con una lettura nostalgica e contemporanea
Marie De Moliner è sicuramente una “ numero uno “ nel variegato mondo artistico dove il collage trova una sua precisa collocazione al pari di disegno e pittura, e forse non tutti sapranno che anche il famosissimo Henri Matisse  sulla sedia rotelle a causa di una grave malattia, si aprì ad una nuova vita artistica, producendo collage di carte coloratissime, spesso in scala enorme

Hands up those who at least once in their life have not ventured into creating a collage, I am one of those and I remember as if it were the day when I was given a block of colored sheets, a pair of scissors, a black card and the legendary “Coccoina” white glue during the drawing hour to be spread with the little brush and the unforgettable scent of almond
It was a beautiful experience for me that being a real landslide with the pencil and the brush I was able to give vent to my creativity by creating an abstract collage that earned me the honor of seeing it attached with the pins on the wooden cord on the classroom walls
When I saw the works of Marie De Moliner for the first time I immediately remembered my school experience and I understood many things that I had not understood then as a boy, first of all that collage may seem like a break from the noble techniques of painting and drawing, but this is not the case because this art form includes technique, form and content
We are faced with a real revolution that starts from a deconstruction to arrive at a real reconstruction in which the artist moves in a universe where all shapes can become meaningful and the skill of the artist consists in making appear in its work the unpredictable .. what you would not have expected and capable of giving a touch of originality and uniqueness to the finished work
Marie De Moliner was born near Paris in 1975 and in the 1990s lived a few years in New York where she attended the Parsons School of design and Fordham University

Returning to Paris in 2003, she graduated in Architecture and has lived and worked in Bergamo, Italy since 2004
She has fallen in love with art since she was a child, always experimenting with different forms and expressions of art (watercolor, painting, sculpture, digital art …), but her true artistic expression is the collage made with fragments of recycled paper
She has an unbridled passion and it could not be otherwise, for the collection of paper of any type, sheets and clippings from magazines, newspapers, catalogs, advertising brochures, flyers, tickets, packaging, posters and this research phase leads her to turn to flea markets in search of that piece of paper that will trigger the idea to be able to imagine a new work
As a good architect Marie finds comfort in geometry and is fascinated by graphics and it is not difficult to understand that her main source of inspiration is the architectural style of the International Style
In her series of collages entitled “Urban Landscape”, works that have been exhibited at a personal exhibition in Venice on the occasion of the architecture biennale in 2018 at the first glance you immediately find the peculiarities of the International Style: the organization of space and perspective with a strong geometric language
After all, the International Style is based on a radical simplification of the shape, a refusal of the ornament and the adoption of glass, steel and concrete as preferred materials while the transparency of the buildings, the construction (called the honest expression of the structure) and the acceptance of industrialized mass production techniques have contributed to the design philosophy of the International style which has as its objective the internationalization of language, therefore its maximum diffusion, and not the deepening of the rules of a specific architectural / figurative ideality also considering the intentional reduction of a vast amount of means of expression
Thanks to the use of recycled paper, Marie manages to bring out rigorous and pop scenes on the canvas with a nostalgic and contemporary reading
Marie De Moliner is certainly a “number one” in the varied artistic world where collage finds its precise location on a par with drawing and painting, and perhaps not everyone will know that even the very famous Henri Matisse, in a wheelchair due to a serious illness , opened up to a new artistic life, producing collages of colorful papers, often on a huge scale
