Questa mattina Paola Marchese, la poliedrica artista nativa di Erice inaugurerà alle 9.30 il suo nuovo show room “ La Bottega dell’Arte “ in via Quattrociocchi 39 a Bagheria in provincia di Palermo
Siamo in Sicilia, patria di un Arte capace di catturare al primo sguardo, proprio come le fantastiche opere di Paola che attraverso il loro caleidoscopio di colori diventano dei veri e propri pezzi unici nel loro genere che vanno dagli arazzi, alla creazione di pochette,abiti,foulard,tessuti e cuscini
Animata dal suo grande amore per l’Oriente e dallo studio delle arti antiche come Batik e Shibori, Paola ha saputo trasferire nelle sue opere d’arte la poesia di un passato ricco di tradizione e di memoria di una civiltà antica ma tuttora presente
Paola ha iniziato a dipingere da bambina e frequentato il liceo artistico per poi continuare a coltivare da autodidatta la sua passione per l’Arte, sempre sostenuta e incoraggiata dai suoi genitori, in particolare da papà Giuseppe
E oggi con l’apertura della sua “ La Bottega dell’Arte “ Paola, trasforma quello che sino a ieri era un sogno in realtà e si prepara a far conoscere la sua Arte ad un pubblico internazionale
Le sue opere hanno sicuramente uno spessore artistico capace di essere apprezzato nel mondo intero, quindi non è difficile credere che possano essere acquistate con grande successo online

This morning Paola Marchese, the multifaceted artist born in Erice will inaugurate her new showroom “La Bottega dell’Arte” at 9.30 in Via Quattrociocchi 39 in Bagheria in the province of Palermo
We are in Sicily, home of an art capable of capturing at first glance, just like the fantastic works of Paola who, through their kaleidoscope of colors, become real one-of-a-kind pieces ranging from tapestries, to the creation of clutch bags, dresses , scarves, fabrics and cushions
Animated by her great love for the East and by the study of ancient arts such as Batik and Shibori, Paola has been able to transfer into her works of art the poetry of a past rich in tradition and memory of an ancient but still present civilization
Paola started painting as a child and attended artistic high school and then continued to cultivate her passion for art as a self-taught, always supported and encouraged by her parents, in particular by her father Giuseppe

Paola Meneghetti è nata a Milano il 29/06/1948, vive e lavora in provincia di Bergamo (Italy)
Il suo talento artistico si sviluppò dall’età di 11 anni con la prima esposizione personale; in seguito arricchì il proprio talento frequentando svariate accademie d’arte fino al raggiungimento di una maturità artistica che le consentì di entrare a pieno titolo nel mondo contemporaneo dell’arte
Pittrice poliedrica e dalla forte sensibilità, la sua produzione ed evoluzione artistica è sempre stata guidata da un profondo percorso di ricerca interiore, che ha portato ad una maturazione stilistica passando dal figurativo paesaggistico dei primi tempi, ai più recenti e ricercati temi Naïf
Nei suoi quadri naif si può percepire una componente autobiografica di questa artista che ha con il tempo sviluppato una passione per gli Angeli che ha saputo inserire con incredibile maestria non solo nelle opere naif ma anche e soprattutto nelle pitture sacre
Bellissimi anche i suoi luminosi paesaggi delle coste italiane e greche, a guardarli bene sembra di essere proprio lì nei luoghi raffigurati
Nel 2020 Paola festeggerà i 45 anni di esposizioni, avendo tenuto la sua prima mostra personale nel 1975

Paola Meneghetti was born in Milan on 06/29/1948, she lives and works in the province of Bergamo (Italy)
Her artistic talent developed from the age of 11 with the first personal exhibition; later she enriched her talent by attending various art academies until she reached an artistic maturity that allowed her to fully enter the contemporary art world
A multifaceted painter with a strong sensitivity, her production and artistic evolution has always been guided by a deep path of inner research, which led to a stylistic maturation passing from the figurative landscape of the early times, to the most recent and sought-after Naïf themes.
In her naive paintings you can perceive an autobiographical component of this artist who over time has developed a passion for the Angels who has been able to insert with incredible skill not only in naive works but also and above all in sacred paintings
Her bright landscapes of the Italian and Greek coasts are also beautiful, looking at them well it seems to be right there in the places depicted
In 2020 Paola will celebrate 45 years of exhibitions, having held her first solo exhibition in 1975

21° edizione di “Espongo il mio presepio”- Cuneo

Palazzo Samone in via Amedeo Rossi 4 a Cuneo ospiterà dal 22 dicembre al 6 gennaio 2020 la 21° edizione della mostra “Espongo il mio presepio”.

Lungo il percorso della mostra si possono vedere quasi un centinaio di realizzazioni particolari, alcune di livello ed altre decisamente curiose, presepi di carta originali, realizzati in vetro, con i tappi di sughero, con il pane, con le conchiglie, con il lego, con i vecchi pennini da calamaio, con vecchi ferri

Una mostra da vedere, l’ingresso è libero e gli orari sono: nei giorni feriali 15-19, mentre sabato e festivi 10-12 e 15-19

Cellia Saubry o più comunemente Célia è nata a Rouen nel 1938
Ha iniziato a dipingere giovanissima incoraggiata dalla zia, quotata artista professionista
Si è trasferita molto giovane a Parigi dove si è sposata ed ha cominciato a dipingere con continuità senza peraltro esporre le sue opere per molti anni
Ha iniziato ad esporre le sue opere solo nel 1972 presso la Galerie Antoniette, poi dal 1980 al 1997 i suoi dipinti sono stati esposti alla Gallery Naifs et Primitifs di Parigi e fino al 1986 alla Gallery Naifs et Primitifs di New York; è stata invitata anche ad esporre le sue opere al Musée Huis Ten Bosh di Nagasaki in Giappone
I suoi lavori sono stati presentati in molte Fiere d’arte ed esibizioni, soprattutto a Basilea
La sua pittura si basa su tecnica e colori raffinati con cui dipinge delle vedute molto caratteristiche di Parigi che traggono ispirazione dalla vita di tutti i giorni, nonché dei bellissimi scorci di Provenza

La nomina di Marin arriva dopo che il primo ministro uscente, Antti Rinne, si era dimesso martedì scorso dopo che un partito all’interno della coalizione aveva espresso una perdita di fiducia in lui; le critiche sono state mosse contro Rinne a seguito della sua gestione di uno sciopero postale senza precedenti in Finlandia Il governo di coalizione finlandese composto da quattro partiti su cinque con una leadership femminile: l’alleanza di sinistra con Li Anderson, 32; la Lega verde di Maria Ohisalo, 34 anni; il partito centrale di Katri Kulmuni, 32 anni; e il Partito popolare svedese con Anna-Maya Henriksson, 55 anni

Senza entrare negli aspetti politici della vicenda da italiano mi congratulo con un Paese pioniere della parità di genere che è stato il primo in Europa a garantire il diritto al voto alle donne nel 1906 e che ha già eletto una donna alla presidenza della Repubblica ( Tarja Halonen 2000-2012 )

Sisko Elina Mustonen – Finland

Sisko Elina Mustonen è nata 59 anni fa a Kuusamo nella Finlandia settentrionale
Si è trasferita a vivere con il suo compagno sull’isola di Hailuoto ( vicino a Oulu ), ha tre figli adulti e un nipote
Ha due professioni, cuoca ed infermiera e attualmente lavora come badante e come consigliere di un club di anziani
Sisko Elina ha fatto ceramica per 15 anni e disegno per 4 anni, fondamentalmente è autodidatta ma ha studiato un po’ di entrambi, è animata da una grande passione e anche se sta muovendo i primi passi nel mondo dell’arte come è normale non potrà che imparare nuove tecniche per migliorare ancora di più le sue opere
Le piace disegnare le persone in diverse situazioni: divertenti, umane, genuine e la sua forza e ispirazione le proviene dalla natura e dall’atmosfera pacifica che circonda l’isola in cui vive

Ines Calabria è nata a Bilbao dove risiede
Ha iniziato a dipingere da bambina e nel suo caso si può veramente dire che l’arte la accompagna da quando è nata, dal momento che non concepisce la vita senza la passione per la pittura
Attraverso i tratti colorati dei suoi pennelli si riesce a capire come Ines sia capace di immergersi in un mondo magico pieno di passioni in cui riesce ad allontanare quei fantasmi che ogni tanto accompagnano la nostra vita quotidiana e questo lo si vede dalla grande vitalità che le sue opere sanno trasmettere
Questa giovane artista ha sicuramente davanti un futuro pieno di successi che riuscirà a concretizzare grazie alle sue mostre personali dove saranno esposti i suoi dipinti molto particolari e pieni di personalità

Venezia è di tutti – Venice belongs to everyone

A Venezia vivono poco più di 50.000 persone ma ogni anno riceve qualcosa come 28 milioni di turisti, fatto questo che mi porta a scrivere che Venezia non è solo dei veneziani o degli italiani ma è un patrimonio del mondo intero, Venezia è di tutti!
Venezia è l’acqua, ha bisogno dell’acqua perché senza di questa non esisterebbe e durante la sua storia ha dovuto sempre convivere con il fenomeno dell’acqua alta, ma negli ultimi anni l’alta marea la sta mettendo in ginocchio e come già accadde nel 1966 in questi giorni l’acqua ha raggiunto la strabiliante altezza di 187 cm creando danni incredibili e mettendo in pericolo la Basilica di San Marco
Ma lo scudo protettivo che sta proprio davanti alla città, il MOSE – acronimo che sta per Modulo Sperimentale Elettromeccanico non viene attivato in quanto non è ancora terminato e neppure collaudato
La costruzione del MOSE pensato negli anni ’80 per difendere la laguna di Venezia da piene superiori ai 110 cm è iniziata nel 2003 e nel 2014 furono sollevate per la prima volta quattro delle 78 paratie previste, nel 2016 l’opera avrebbe dovuto essere completata e oggi dopo 16 anni di gestazione e 7 miliardi di euro spesi non è ancora pronto e l’obiettivo è che entri in funzione nel 2021 .. una vergogna!
Parole in questi anni ne sono state dette e scritte tante, ora più che mai servono i fatti prima che sia troppo tardi

The construction of the MOSE conceived in the 1980s to defend the Venice lagoon from floods over 110 cm began in 2003 and in 2014 four of the 78 planned bulkheads were raised for the first time, in 2016 the work should have been completed and today after 16 years of gestation and 7 billion euros spent it is not yet ready and the goal is for it to come into operation in 2021 .. a shame!
In these years many words have been spoken and written, now more than ever the facts are necessary before it is too late

Charlotte Lachapelle

Charlotte Lachapelle è nata nel 1955 a Souillac, un piccolo comune sul fiume Dordogne, nel dipartimento di Lot nel sud-ovest della Francia, nella regione Midi-Pyrénées di tradizione occitana che corrisponde approssimativamente all’antica Haut-Languedoc
Autodidatta, dipinge dall’infanzia e dall’età di 25 anni si è dedicata completamente alla pittura e le sue opere sono fortemente influenzate dalla dolcezza e poesia che i paesaggi della sua regione le hanno saputo trasmettere fin da ragazzina
E’ membro fondatore del gruppo di Primitivi Moderni “dit Naifs”
Nella sua pittura dove ama immaginare un mondo incantato a metà tra sogno e realtà nulla è statico, la tecnica è eccezionale e i colori sono dosati con un impeccabile maestria soprattutto nei suoi paesaggi bucolici
Ha partecipato a numerose esposizioni individuali e collettive e le sue opere sono presenti nelle più importanti collezioni d’Arte Naif nel mondo
Charlotte a proposito della sua attività è solita dire: « Pour moi la peinture est avant tout un plaisir.”

Ha tenuto mostre personali a : Paris, Reims, Epernay, Le Raincy, Lyon, Grenoble, Marseille, Montpellier, La Baule, Clairac, Pezenas, Nantes, Antibes, Chantilly, Rouen, Nimes e in Svizzera

Mary Erickson.. it’s never too late

Mary Erickson, nata e cresciuta a St.Cloud in Minnesota si è poi trasferita a Bradenton in Florida nel 2000
Ha iniziato a progettare e cucire abiti per la sua bambola all’età di 10 anni e forse il suo precoce appetito europeo per la moda è insito nel suo DNA provenendo la famiglia della madre dall’Alsazia in Francia e quella del padre dalla Lorena in Germania
Da adolescente era solito visitare una piccola boutique dove poteva ammirare i molti cappelli esposti e coltivare quella che un giorno non sarà più una passione ma una vera e propria attività
Ha tre figli ormai adulti, Jana – proprietaria di 27 pizzerie insieme a suo marito Jim, il figlio di mezzo Steve, un pastore con sua moglie JoAnna e Wendy la più giovane, un ministro della salute per Organics for Orphans, Africa, con suo marito Dave
Mary è sempre stata una sarta per se stessa e per le sue due figlie, oltre ad essere consulente di Interior Design & Lease per appartamenti
Nel 2009 dopo un viaggio a Elur in India con il figlio Steve e sua moglie JoAnna ha iniziato a preparare la pubblicazione di un libro per raccogliere fondi per i bambini – cosa che è avvenuta nel 2010 quando è stato pubblicato il libro “ My Wee Book of Rhymes “
I suoi modelli preferiti di vita a cui si ispira sono Madre Teresa di Calcutta, custode dei bambini e Coco Chanel una grande della moda
Da non molto ha messo in scena il secondo atto della sua vita, iniziando a dare vita alle sue interessanti creazioni artistiche avendo ben chiaro che “Per essere insostituibili bisogna essere sempre diversi” e che “Non è mai troppo tardi per essere chiunque tu voglia essere” come recita Brad Pitt nel film “ Il curioso caso di Benjamin Button “
Ha iniziato creando fiori recisi a mano che sono andati ad abbellire cappelli autodidatti e poi strada facendo a iniziato a creare veri e propri cappelli che immancabilmente sono da considerarsi tutti veri e propri pezzi unici
Ha iniziato a partecipare con successo a varie esibizioni, tra cui la recente Palma International Hat Week
Nonostante la sua sia un’attività relativamente giovane, Mary ha un suo negozio online su etsy.com dove presenta buona parte delle sue creazioni

Mary Erickson, born and raised in St.Cloud in Minnesota then moved to Bradenton, Florida in 2000
She started designing and sewing clothes for her doll at the age of 10 and perhaps her early European appetite for fashion is inherent in her DNA coming from her mother’s family from Alsace in France and her father’s from Lorraine in Germany
As a teenager she used to visit a small boutique where she could admire the many hats on display and cultivate what will one day no longer be a passion but a real activity
She has three grown-up children, Jana – owner of 27 pizzerias along with her husband Jim, middle son Steve, a pastor with his wife JoAnna and Wendy the youngest, a health minister for Organics for Orphans, Africa, with her husband Dave
Mary has always been a seamstress for herself and her two daughters, as well as being an Interior Design & Lease consultant for apartments
In 2009, after traveling to Elur in India with her son Steve and his wife JoAnna, she began preparing a book to raise funds for children – thing that happened in 2010 when the book “My Wee Book of Rhymes “was published
Her favorite life models to which she is inspired are Mother Teresa of Calcutta, guardian of children and Coco Chanel a great fashion designer
Not long ago she staged the second act of her life, starting to give life to her interesting artistic creations having it very clear that “To be irreplaceable one must always be different” and that “It is never too late to be anyone you want to be “as Brad Pitt says in the movie” The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”
She started by creating hand-cut flowers that went to embellish self-taught hats and then on the way she started to create real hats that all of them must be considered true unique pieces

Mary puts great passion into this activity and finds great pleasure in creating stylish hats, adding to each of them one or more finishes that make them truly unique and original
