Il cappello è da sempre una parte integrante dell’outfit di una donna a maggior ragione quando in qualche modo può diventare un elemento distintivo capace di esaltare la personalità di chi lo indossa
Ci sono cappelli e cappelli, quelli che vi sto per presentare sono creazioni molto particolari di una designer finlandese che ha fatto dell’originalità dei suoi cappelli il vero punto di forza della sua creatività
Julia Kantsian vive a Helsinki dove ha creato il suo brand Kan Kan Hats anche se attualmente sta lavorando in Pärnu in Estonia alla ristrutturazione di una vecchia scuola ( da lei comprata 3 anni fa ) dove conta di aprire il prossimo anno un Museo per bambole e cappelli
Julia è una donna con una forte personalità ed una vena artistica che non conosce confini e ha iniziato a creare i suoi cappelli nel 2013
Il motivo che l’ha spinta a creare i suoi cappelli è molto semplice, vestendo in maniera elegante ma preferendo abiti piuttosto strani ha sempre trovato enormi difficoltà a compare un cappello giusto per lei e così si è creata il suo primo cappello che  poi un amico norvegese a cui è piaciuto moltissimo  ha voluto comprare per 3000 corone norvegesi, facendo capire in quel momento a Julia che stava nascendo una nuova vita, quella che poi lei chiamerà “ philosophy of Hats ”

Per creare i suoi cappelli principalmente usa lana merino ma anche materiali diversi riciclati con cui cura in maniera minuziosa i diversi particolari che compongono il cappello, per arrivare al termine della creazione ad un pezzo che si può considerare un “ unicum “
I suoi cappelli sembrano evocare il mondo delle favole e storie magiche, ma a ben guardarli mostrano  la personalità della donna per cui è stato creato che non può essere che una donna ambiziosa, che sa quello che vuole e che ama vivere la vita con quel pizzico di frivolezza che talvolta aiuta a piacersi di più

The reason that prompted her to create her hats is very simple, dressing elegantly but preferring rather strange clothes has always found enormous difficulties to appear a hat just right for her and so she created her first hat that then a friend Norwegian who liked very much wanted to buy for 3000 Norwegian kroner, making it clear at that moment to Julia that a new life was being born, what she would later call “philosophy of Hats”

To create her hats she mainly uses merino wool but also different recycled materials with which she takes care of the different details that make up the hat, to get to the end of the creation to a piece that can be considered a ” unique “
Her hats seem to evoke the world of fairy tales and magical stories, but on closer inspection they show the personality of the woman for whom it was created that can only be an ambitious woman, who knows what she wants and who loves to live life with that pinch of frivolity that sometimes helps you to like yourself more
