Ritchie COLLINS

Ritchie Collins è nato nel 1978 a Prestwick un paesino lungo la costa occidentale della Scozia, ha studiato Design e Illustrazione presso il College of Building and Printing a Glasgow.
Dopo aver viaggiato per qualche tempo è diventato il Gallery manager della Galleria d’arte Just Art situata in Morningside a Edimburgo.
Dal 2010 ha aperto una sua Galleria, the Ritchie Collins Gallery nel cuore di Leith storico sobborgo di Edimburgo
La pittura di Ritchie è influenzata dagli scorci delle coste scozzesi e dai paesaggi che le circondano, ma anche dall’arte celtica; colori vibranti, forme semplici e spesso in movimento si combinano insieme e danno alle sue opere un tocco di assoluta originalità
Parlando del suo lavoro, Richie dice: “Tutte le cose che dipingo provengono da sogni o ricordi di luoghi in cui sono stato. Ciò che per me è importante è cercare di catturare i veri sentimenti di un luogo nel tempo, piuttosto che la realtà”
I suoi dipinti e le stampe in edizione limitata sono in molte collezioni d’arte private

 

 

 

 

Ritchie Collins was born in 1978 in Prestwick, a small town along the west coast of Scotland, studied Design and Illustration at the College of Building and Printing in Glasgow
After traveling for some time he became the Gallery manager of the Just Art art gallery located in Morningside in Edinburgh
Since 2010 he has opened his own Gallery, the Ritchie Collins Gallery in the heart of Leith’s historic suburb of Edinburgh
Ritchie’s painting is influenced by the views of the Scottish coasts and the landscapes that surround them, but also by Celtic art; vibrant colors, simple and often moving shapes combine together and give his works a touch of absolute originality
Talking about his work Richie says: “All the things I paint come from dreams or memories of places I’ve been. What is important to me is trying to capture the true feelings of a place in time, rather than the reality.”
His paintings and limited edition prints are in many private art collections

Gordon WILSON

gordonwilsonGordon Wilson è nato nel 1968 e cresciuto a Glasgow dove attualmente vive con la moglie e due figli
Ha studiato alla Scuola d’Arte di Glasgow e ha lavorato per molti anni nel mondo dell’arte come designer, corniciaio, restauratore e artista.
In gioventù Gordon fu ispirato dal cartoonist David Sutherland e dal padre che era una acquerellista, mentre altre influenze artistiche nei suoi lavori derivano da artisti come Freud, Byrne, Stanley Spencer, Howson and Currie
Lavora prevalentemente ad olio e le sue tele sono ispirate e risentono dell’influenza della sua natia Scozia
Le sue opere sono presenti in collezioni private e non in tutto il mondo.

 

 

 

 

Gordon Wilson was born in 1968 and grew up in Glasgow, where he is now based with his wife and two children
He studied at the Glasgow School of Art and worked for many years in the art world as a designer, picture fremer and artist
In his youth, Gordon was inspired by cartoonist David Sutherland and his father who was a watercolorist, while other artistic influences in his work derive from artists such as Freud, Byrne, Stanley Spencer, Howson and Currie
He works mainly in oil and his paintings are inspired and influenced by the influence of his native Scotland
His works are present in private collections and not all over the world

Colette BRUNELIÈRE

Colette Brunelière è nata a Auvers sur Oise un piccolo paesino situato nel dipartimento della Val-d’Oise nella regione dell’Île-de-France,celebre per aver ospitato tanti rinomati artisti che qui hanno creato molti dei loro capolavori, tra tutti Cézanne ma soprattutto Van Gogh, che qui visse gli ultimi tre mesi di vita e dove è sepolto nel cimitero locale.
Colette attualmente vive a Champsur Laye, nella regione dell’Hautes-Alpes.
Dopo aver frequentato l’Università, ha cresciuto i suoi quattro figli e da alcuni anni a questa parte si dedica interamente alla sua passione, la pittura.
Questa stimata pittrice francese riesce a conciliare il mondo reale con quello dei sogni e in ogni suo quadro non si fatica a ritrovare il momento di vita che vuole in qualche modo fissare

 

 

 

Colette Brunelière was born in Auvers sur Oise a small village located in the department of Val-d’Oise in the Île-de-France region, famous for having hosted many renowned artists who created many of their masterpieces here, among all Cézanne but especially Van Gogh, who lived here the last three months of his life and where he is buried in the local cemetery
Colette currently lives in Champsur Laye, in the Hautes-Alpes region
After attending the University, she raised her four children and for some years has devoted herself entirely to he passion, painting
This esteemed French paintress manages to reconcile the real world with that of dreams and in every one of her paintings it is not hard to find the moment of life that she wants to fix in some way

Sara Mead è una pittrice scozzese che ha vissuto fino al 2007 a Paisley nel  Renfrewshire una delle 32 aree amministrative della Scozia, per poi trasferirsi a Moseley, un sobborgo di Birmingham.
Ha iniziato a dipingere con continuità dal 1999 supportata ed incoraggiata da Tom Shanks, rinomato acquarellista scozzese.
Nei suoi dipinti ama spesso ritrarre dettagli della vita quotidiana dei piccoli porti, usando tonalità calde ed appassionate che riflettono le emozioni tipiche dei paesaggi marinari.
Ha partecipato a svariate mostre in Scozia e i suoi lavori sono esposti in molteplici gallerie del Regno Unito.

 

 

Sara Mead is a Scottish paintress who lived until 2007 in Paisley in Renfrewshire one of the 32 administrative areas of Scotland, then moved to Moseley, a suburb of Birmingham
She  started painting with continuity since 1999 supported and encouraged by Tom Shanks, a renowned Scottish watercolorist
In her paintings she often loves to portray details of the daily life of small ports, using warm and passionate tones that reflect the typical emotions of sea landscapes
She has participated in various exhibitions in Scotland and his works are exhibited in multiple galleries in the United Kingdom

Paul ROBINSON

Paul Robinson è nato a Penrith nel 1959, nella Contea di Cumbria nel Regno Unito ed è cresciuto nel villaggio di Lazonby nel cuore della Eden Valley.
Ha studiato arte al Carlisle College, quindi si è trasferito a Londra dove è diventato un illustratore di successo di molte pubblicazione tra cui The Sunday Times, Radio Times e Time Out magazine, per poi dedicarsi completamente alla pittura.
Nel 1999 si è trasferito nella Contea di Norfolk dove grazie alla contemplazione di un paesaggio fatto di mare e cielo ha trovato la giusta quiete per poter raccontare nelle sue tele con uno stile del tutto particolare la vita di tutti i giorni, quella che in pratica ciascuno degli abitanti può vedere dall’uscio di casa di un qualsiasi villaggio che si affaccia sulla costa del mare del Nord.

 

 

Paul Robinson was born in Penrith in 1959, in the County of Cumbria in the United Kingdom and grew up in the village of Lazonby in the heart of Eden Valley.
He studied art at Carlisle College, then moved to London where he became a successful illustrator of many publications including The Sunday Times, Radio Times and Time Out magazine, to then devote himself entirely to painting.
In 1999 he moved to the County of Norfolk where, thanks to the contemplation of a landscape made of sea and sky, he found the right quiet to be able to tell everyday in his canvases with a very particular style that life that each of the inhabitants can see from the door of a house of any village that overlooks the coast of the North Sea

Deborah Phillips

DeboraPhilipsDeborah Phillips è una delle più affermate pittrici contemporanee scozzesi.
E’ nata a Dundee nel 1965, ed è la figlia del noto artista scozzese Douglas Phillips di cui a quanto pare ha seguito precocemente le orme.
Deborah ha esposto il suo primo lavoro all’età di 14 anni alla Royal Scottish Academy e al Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Art.
Si è laureata con BA(honours) nel 1987 al Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art di Dundee.
Dopo la laurea ha lavorato come Merchandise Designer con il National Trust for Scotland e con Historic Scotland.
I suoi lavori di design sono apparsi nei più quotati magazines femminili e i suoi dipinti sono presenti in International Artist, Artists and Illustrators, Picture Business and Art Business Today per fare solo qualche esempio.
Attualmente Deborah si sta dedicando alla pittura in acrilico nel suo studio di Dundee che si affaccia sul “the Firth of Tay” ( firth in scozzese vuol dire fiordo) e molti dei suoi lavori sono eseguiti su commissione; basti pensare che compagnie come Standard Life, Bank of Scotland e Mark e Spencer sono tra i principali collezionisti dei suoi sempre più popolari dipinti.
Espone prevalentemente in Scozia, Inghilterra e Irlanda, ma i suoi lavori si possono trovare in collezioni aziendali e private in tutto il mondo.
Un critico scrisse di lei: “ Deborah Phillips è una di quei talenti che possono dipingere una scena che noi tutti conosciamo, senza averla mai vista prima”.

Richard Adams

Fragranze White Musk

RichardAdamsRichard Adams è nato nel 1960 nella contea di Hampshire che si affaccia sulla costa meridionale dell’Inghilterra.
La sua famiglia si è poi trasferita nella contea di Wiltshire dove Richard ha trascorso la sua gioventù a contatto con l’ambiente rurale delle colline di Cotswold.
Ha studiato illustrazione al Leicester Polytechnic e dopo la laurea si è trasferito a Londra dove ha lavorato come illustratore freelance per diversi anni per compagnie quali : Radio Times, Penguin Books e BP.
Negli anni ’90 dopo aver vinto innumerevoli premi per le sue illustrazioni, decise di abbandonare le illustrazioni per dedicarsi alla pittura.
Ha tenuto mostre a Londra e in molte località del Regno Unito, mentre tra le sue presenze oltre Manica vanno segnalate le mostre tenute a Sydney, Washington, Brema e Madrid.
Dalla metà degli anni’90 vive a Rye nel Sussex nel sud-est dell’Inghilterra.
Le sue opere raccontano dei tipici paesaggi inglesi che lo hanno fortemente impressionato negli anni della sua gioventù, trascorsa tra le colline di Costwold e il mare del sud dell’Inghilterra.
Troviamo così nella sua produzione: scene bucoliche, villaggi immersi nel verde, giardini, spiagge, paesaggi marini, donne con abiti stravaganti o ritratte senza veli tra le mura domestiche o sulla spiaggia, scene in cui una folla di persone è impegnata in pranzi, mercati, o più semplicemente mentre fa il bagno in mare.
Tutti i suoi quadri sono dipinti utilizzando i pastelli di gesso; i colori a lavoro ultimato vengono fissati con una speciale vernice che li rende impermeabili.

Val Byrne

Val ByrneAVal Byrne è nato in Irlanda a Dublino nel 1936, ha studiato Arte e Architettura all’University College Dubin (UCD) dove si è laureato in Architettura.
Dopo una breve parentesi lavorativa a Londra Val ritornò a Dublino ed iniziò una collaborazione con un altro architetto.
All’inizio degli anni ’70 ha lavorato in Nigeria, Sudan, Libia e in altri stati dell’Africa.
E’ stato membro del Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland.
Alla fine degli anni ’80 Val abbandonò l’architettura per dedicarsi a tempo pieno al suo amore per la pittura.
Nella sua pittura Val ha da sempre denotato un particolare interesse per i paesaggi urbani della sua Irlanda soffermandosi spesso a ritrarre scene di piccoli porti e baie disseminati lungo le coste dell’Irlanda.
Le sue opere si trovano in collezioni private o di aziende in tutto il mondo tra cui : Mary McAleese, President of Ireland; Mary Robinson, Former President of Ireland and U.N. Commissioner for Human Rights; Jean Kennedy Smith, former U.S. Ambassador to Ireland.
Le sue opere sono presenti in molte Ambasciate irlandesi in Europa, USA, Africa, Asia.
Nel 2004 ha completato sei grandi quadri per la nuova residenza dell’Ambasciatore d’Irlanda a Canberra in Australia.
Molte sue opere sono presenti in pubblicazioni come: “Bray and North Wicklow” pubblicato nel 2004 e “A Maritime history of Cork” dove sono presenti suoi dipinti per il 75th Anniversary of the Irish Navy.
Val ha una grande passione per la Genealogia, ereditata dal padre, fatto questo che lo ha portato ad essere eletto nel 1992 Capo del Clan O’Byrne e quindi Chairman of The Clan’s of Ireland.
