Andrea Camilleri is gone, was one of the most famous and beloved contemporary Italian writers, he was 93 years old
This great writer has been able to tell his Sicily how no one has ever known how to do it before him, and he did it in a gentle way as only a person who deeply loves his land can do
His books have been translated into over 120 countries around the world and have made the “vigatese” known that very happy combination of Italian and Sicilian dialect to those who might not have been able to understand English
Surely he was one of the most beloved and famous Italian writers of the last twenty years, but strange case he never won a Strega Prize and nobody ever dreamed of thinking of him as a possible future Nobel Prize
but we know this is Italy that in front of a master of this stature rediscovers itself provincial to such an extent that it does not come to think that a Strega Prize for a writer of such caliber would not be but it is a due act
Camilleri’s death and for what he represented for Sicily, for the Sicilians and for the culture of that land is a bit like Santa Rosalia died again
Of him will remain the over 100 written books that tell each in his own way a piece of Sicily and hand down the culture of a region that thanks to him has been able to find the right place in the imagination of each reader who, following him through his books, he could know Sicily the real one!

This collection of love poems tells of a journalist in love with Finland (a poem is dedicated to Helsinki ) who finds in this magnificent country not only landscapes of rare beauty but also the right feeling  to restart a heart that had lost all hope of still loving

And when you fall asleep hugging a pillow wet with tears, you realize how great Love can be, and that the strength that a Love can have and give is immense

Inside the book there is everything that a woman would like to be told, all you need to dream and that may seem trivial, but which in reality is not trivial, because a love poem is never just love and it has not only one meaning, but it can have many, one for each reader

The poem that gives the title to the book

A breath of wind

You entered in my life
As a breath of wind
That rises from the ground
A yellowed leaf
Bathed in endless rain
Then you became
The sun necessary
To dry it
Then you made yourself a book
To welcome me between
Your arms
