Il tempo stringe e allora voglio darvi un’idea che non vi permetterà di avere il regalo in tempo utile ma che potrà farvi pensare ad un regalo da condividere con chi amate, una bella vacanza in Irlanda, in cui potrete andare ad acquistare personalmente il Claddagh Ring.

Galway, Cathair na Gaillimhe in gaelico, è una cittadina cosmopolita, amata da scrittori ed artisti e centro della cultura gaelica e della musica tradizionale che si trova nella omonima Contea.
Nel 2020 sarà capitale europea della cultura.
Una delle sue più famose attrazioni è il Salmon Weir Bridge, un ponte sul fiume Corrib dove da metà aprile ai primi di luglio si possono vedere giornalmente i salmoni che risalgono il fiume per andare a deporre le uova.
La sua maggiore notorietà le viene però per essere la città del Festival delle ostriche, che puntualmente si tiene ogni anno nel mese di settembre quando si possono gustare le prime ostriche della nuova stagione.
Lasciando il centro cittadino si può fare una bellissima passeggiata panoramica verso il sobborgo di Salthill, “Bóthar na Tra”, in gaelico che significa letteralmente “strada lungo il mare”.
Se la vostra vacanza non sarà breve vi consiglio di andare a visitare le Isole Aran, tre piccole isole rocciose (INIS MÓR la più grande, INIS MEÁIN e INIS OÍRR) situate all’imbocco della baia di Galway.
Si possono raggiungere via mare con i traghetti che partono tutti i giorni da Rossaveal, poco fuori Galway, o con i voli panoramici della compagnia Aer Arann, che utilizza piccoli aerei da 8 posti che sorvolano le isole in un viaggio panoramica che dura circa 35 minuti.
Ovviamente se volete viverle appieno è meglio usare il traghetto che vi permette di stare qualche ora sull’isola principale e perdervi tra la sua disarmante bellezza e fare un po’ di shopping andando a caccia dei famosi maglioni in lana di Arann.

One of its most famous attractions is the Salmon Weir Bridge, a bridge on the river Corrib where from mid-April to early July you can see daily the salmon that go up the river to go to lay the eggs.
Its greatest notoriety comes however to be the city of the International Oyster Festival which is held every year in September when you can taste the first oysters of the new season.
Leaving the city center you can take a beautiful scenic walk towards the suburb of Salthill, “Bóthar na Tra”, in Gaelic which literally means “road along the sea”.
If your holiday will not be short I recommend going to visit the Aran Islands, three small rocky islands (INIS MÓR the largest, INIS MEÁIN and INIS OÍRR) located at the entrance of the bay of Galway.
You can reach by sea with ferries who leave everyday from Rossaveal, just outside Galway, or with the scenic flights of the Aer Arann company, which uses small 8-seat aircraft that fly over the islands on a scenic journey that takes about 35 minutes.
If you want to know them better use the ferry that allows you to stay a few hours on the main island and get lost in his disarming beauty and do some shopping looking for the famous Arann wool sweaters.
